From learning Spanish and connecting with locals to making new friends and traveling around the world, our CMU student is making the most of her study abroad experience! 🌍❤️

📚 Majors: Communication Sciences and Disorders & Spanish

🎓 Minor: American Sign Language

💬 Hear about her experience:
“My study abroad experience... where to even begin?! Spain is SO beautiful. I can’t believe I’m actually studying here. I have loved taking Spanish courses that challenge me, connecting with locals from Alicante, and making new friends! I love the ability to travel to other places, too, to get just a small taste of other parts of the world. Thank you, CMU, for this opportunity!”

Along with exploring Spain, she’s also had the chance to visit Milan, Italy 🇮🇹, Sintra, Portugal 🇵🇹, and Morocco 🇲🇦!

One of the best parts of studying abroad is getting to experience not just one country, but so many different cultures along the way! 🌎

Brenden Holsinger is sharing a little glimpse of his experience! From Japanese language classes during the week to weekend trips exploring Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, and more, he’s making the most of his time abroad. 🌏✈️

His advice for future study abroad students? “Have something to look forward to at your destination and try new things that you would never have done beforehand.” 🇯🇵

Meet Elyssa and Conley, two CMU students studying abroad in Florence, Italy! 🇮🇹❤️

Elyssa, a Recreation and Event Management major, and Conley, a sophomore majoring in Secondary Education with a focus in History, are spending the semester immersing themselves in Italian culture, meeting people from around the world, and exploring everything Florence has to offer.

For Elyssa, studying abroad has been an incredible opportunity for personal and professional growth, while Conley has especially loved exploring the city, meeting new people, and experiencing Italian culture.
