Lead Teacher for the Child Development & Learning Laboratory, Teresea Looman, was recognized yesterday at the 2026 Staff Excellence Awards ceremony 🎉 Teresea is known for her thoughtful communication and care for children's social and emotional growth and learning. She is attentive, present, and invested in building trusting relationships.

In addition to her work with children and families, Teresea demonstrates a strong commitment to serving CMU students and colleagues, supervising and mentoring early childhood education students in the classroom.

Teresea says her motivation comes from knowing that even the smallest interactions can make a meaningful difference in someone's day.
