Center for Creative Retirement Join us and guest speakers on Mondays at 1:00, September - May. Each week, we feature a two guest speakers.

Established in 1993 through the College of Charleston, the Center for Creative Retirement (CCR) provides education programs for a diverse group of retired and semi-retired active seniors. The Center for Creative Retirement (CCR) meets every Monday from 1:00 - 3:30 pm, from September to May, at the ECPI Building (3800 Paramount Drive, North Charleston, SC 29405). The first speaker from 1:00 - 2:00;

a social from 2:00 - 2:30, and the second speaker from 2:30 - 3:30. Previous guest speakers have included Charleston leaders such as Mayor Joseph P. Riley, Mayor John Tecklenburg, Brian Hicks from the Post & Courier, notable professors and researchers, nonprofits, and The South Carolina Ports Authority. Additionally, CCR organizes a variety of day trips throughout the region, such as dolphin watching, historical landmark tours, and cultural and arts programming. CCR also includes groups such as book clubs, service groups, and Charleston Area Lifelong Learning (CALL). Membership is $50 annually and includes access to weekly speakers and the opportunity to participate in the various day trips and groups (additional fees may apply).
