The Asian Pacific Alumni of Notre Dame Board and the Chinese Culture Society are thrilled to invite alumni, students, friends & family to a short crash course on Mahjong! The event will be held virtually, and instruction will be led by Niki Lee '29, Co-VP of CCS.
Mahjong has been bringing friends and families together for generations. Emerging in 19th-century China during the Qing dynasty, this game of strategy, skill, and a touch of luck quickly grew into a beloved global tradition. Beyond the tiles, mahjong has long served as a vibrant cultural bridge, fostering community, conversation, and connection across generations.

As the weather gets cooler, it's the perfect time to snuggle up with a book. Join us in our shared read this fall as we read "We Had A Little Real Estate Problem" by Kliph Nesteroff. We will meet online on Tuesday, January 12 to discuss the book at 8 pm ET.
This gives everyone plenty of time to read it before/during/after the holidays!

It’s indigenous Peoples’ Day! Come by our table at Fieldhouse Mall and learn how Notre Dame was built on land that was home to Native peoples long before this school was built. For generations, the Potawatomi lived on this land.
