A community where high-achieving business students develop their strengths, challenge their minds, engage with others, and invest in their futures.

The College of Business Administration Scholars Academy at the University of Nebraska at Omaha is designed specifically for students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. The program prepares high-achieving students to be the business leaders of tomorrow through rigorous academic work, strong connections to local businesses, and a broadened worldview through travel abroad and community service. Many classes in a variety of business topics are reserved just for students in the Academy, allowing those who excel in the classroom to challenge each other. Students also have streamlined access to professionals in the business community through monthly mentorship programs, corporate visits, workshops, and internships. After a rigorous application process, twenty candidates have been selected for the Scholars Academy's first cohort. All Scholars are receiving a $2,500 annual scholarship and a one-time $2,000 scholarship to study abroad; these scholarships are stackable with most other scholarships available through UNO and CBA. The application will open again in September 2015 for high school seniors interested in being part of the 2016 freshman cohort. The deadline is December 15, 2015. Questions regarding the College of Business Administration Scholars Academy may be directed to Bethany Hughes, director of the CBA Scholars Academy, at [email protected].

Over spring break, the 2023 cohort had the opportunity to study abroad in the United Kingdom!

In Liverpool, the group learned about the city’s history and culture through a guided tour, visited the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, toured the Jaguar Land Rover factory, and met with companies like Lucid Games and Princes Group. They also explored Everton Football Stadium and took in the views along the River Mersey.

In London, the cohort visited organizations like Lloyd’s of London, Hudl, and Laura Ashley, while also experiencing the city through a hop-on hop-off tour, a guided visit to Westminster Abbey, the National Gallery, and the London Eye.

If you see a 2023 scholar, be sure to ask them about their trip!
