This event will allow students the opportunity to ask independent pharmacy owners questions about ownership, how to be competitive with chain pharmacies, mentoring, experiences and journey to ownership, best pieces of advice, and so much more. !!! Meet our Business Plan Chair, Mackenzie Hannon! Mackenzie recruits and manages a committee designed to come up with, research, and build a comprehensive business plan to start or buy a pharmacy! This business plan is then submitted to NCPA nationals and is put in competition with other pharmacy schools! Last year, our business plan placed in the Top 10 nationally and we hope to build on this foundation! 📄🖊️🤍

Our Mobile chapter partnered with the DEA and Mobile County Health Department for Drug Take Back Day today also! Thanks to MCHD, they were able to distribute free Narcan, provide administration demonstrations and educational materials, and offer additional harm reduction resources to anyone that stopped by! They created handwritten thank-you cards to include with Narcan kits, thanking recipients for helping keep our community safe on behalf of HCOP. FOX10 News also came out to cover the event! A special thank you to the local Publix pharmacist, Sami Hasan, who volunteered his time so that the Narcan could be distributed! 🤩✨

Meet our Mobile Treasurer, Morgan Mathews! Morgan handles and organizes the chapter finances for the Mobile campus such as collecting membership dues, assisting the Fundraising Chair by collecting money for future finances, and having meals ready for chapter meetings! Thank you, Morgan! 💚💲

A huge thank you to Mr. Craig Hyatt, owner of and Our Home Pharmacy at Medical Arts, for joining us and sharing his wisdom, experience, and insight on independent community pharmacy ownership! We are so grateful for the opportunity to learn from such an amazing pharmacist and supporter of our chapter 👏🏼

Ending Day 2 of NCPA Convention with an amazing awards ceremony. We are beyond proud to celebrate an incredible year of hard work, leadership, and dedication from our chapter! Tonight, we celebrated many awards:

✨2026 Chapter of the Year — led by our amazing President, Laney Furey
✨ Top 10 Nationally in the Business Plan Competition — led by our awesome Business Plan Chair, Jaelee Price!
✨ NCPA Presidential Scholarship — awarded to Ansli Prickett!
✨ NCPA Foundation Partners in Pharmacy Scholarship — awarded to Jansen Rogers!
