It is comprised of representatives from each school (Dental, Medicine, Health Professions, Graduate, and Nursing).

The Student Government Association invites you to our Thanksgiving Potluck on November 5th at 5-7PM! We hope to celebrate all cultures from all the schools at the Health Science Center.

Join us for a night of celebration and good food—this is a chance to meet students from other disciplines and make new friendships! You can sign up to bring a food dish and/or RSVP for the event!

LET THE CHILI SHOWDOWN BEGIN🔥🌶️

Join UT Health SGA this Thursday, October 22, for our annual Chili Cook-Off! Teams will go head-to-head to see who makes the best chili.

Bring your friends, bring your appetites and get ready to vote for your favorite chili!

The winners of Best All-Around Chili will have their names engraved on the SGA Chili Trophy!

May the best chili team win!!!

Welcome to a new SGA series where we’ll be highlighting the amazing academic programs here on campus! 🌟 Get to know our programs, meet the students behind them, and discover what a day in their lives looks like!

First up: PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT STUDIES

Physician assistants are licensed healthcare professionals who practice medicine as part of a healthcare team, providing patient care, diagnosing illnesses, and helping develop treatment plans.

- Meet Victoria Sweeney, PAS-1!
Victoria highlights what life looks like during the didactic phase of our PA program and gives us a glimpse into the classroom experience!
- Meet Jaren Carrasco, our SGA representative for PACO28!
- Meet Maritoni Songco, PAS-2!
Maritoni takes us through a day in the life of a PA student during the clinical phase, giving us a look at what clinical rotations are like!

Join us for our annual Cinema Under The Stars movie night one week from today!! 🎥🍿 We will be showing a screening of Project Hail Mary! First 200 students will receive a free meal from one of the two food truck options. ✨ The movie will start around 8 pm!

The Health Science Center SGA works to represent students, advocate for their needs, build community, and help create meaningful opportunities across our campus!

Want to get involved and make your voice heard? Connect with your program’s SGA representative, attend meetings, share your ideas and concerns, or get involved with student organizations and campus initiatives.

SGA Appropriations: SGA provides funding opportunities for eligible student organizations and students. Organizations may apply for up to $1,000 for qualifying events/activities, while professional development funding may provide up to $250 per student. Applications have specific semester deadlines and approved funds are provided as reimbursements.
