This week, meet Jackson Twombly. Jackson is a film & video concentration with a minor in graphic design. Currently, Jackson works at Evergy Plaza, which he plans to continue after graduation. Jackson is going to miss all his friends on campus, as well as his professors who helped him along the way. In the future, Jackson hopes to help play a major role in creating films. We can’t wait to see your name in the credits some day Jackson!

This week, meet Ajah Banks. Ajah is an advertising and PR concentration, with a minor in Spanish from Carbondale Kansas. After graduation Ajah plans to complete her Masters, as well as continue to travel all across the globe. She’s thankful for all the professors who have set her up for success, as well as, all the friends she’s made along the way. Ajah we can’t wait to see where the world takes you next!

This week, meet Melina Scherer. Melina is an advertising & PR concentration from Topeka Kansas. On campus, Melina loves being a part of the swing dancing club, yee-haw. Melina is sad to leave all the friends she’d made on campus, and is grateful for the tools given to her by all her professors. After graduation, Melina plans to stay local, and work a full time career. Melina is excited to continue to make meaningful connections, and make lasting positive impacts wherever she goes. Melina, we hope to see you continue to thrive!

This year, the Mass Media Department has extending our teachings to a new degree path, Sport & Event Media. This new path aims to combine Mass Media alongside Kinesiology for students aiming to work in the world of sports. Courses will provide students with a hands-on approach, as well as, give students a professional portfolio come graduation.

For our first Senior Spotlight meet Lexi Hittle! Lexi is an advertising & PR concentration from Ulysses Kansas. Lexi spends most her time on campus down in Student Media, where she says most of her favorite memories on campus stem from. Lexi aims to one day be a content creator as well as work as the communication director for her church. The thing Lexi’s going to miss most from the Mass Media Department is the countless friends she made throughout her time here. Lexi’s life goal is to one be a light for others. Congratulation Lexi! We can’t wait to see you shine!
