⭐ Student Spotlight: Adalynn Hatcher⭐

From Junction City to Wichita State, Adalynn has made the most of every opportunity along her academic journey.

After transferring from Butler CC, Adalynn chose WSU because it was affordable, close to family, and offered countless ways to get involved. Today, she's gaining real-world experience as a PT Tech at True Physical Therapy and contributing to blood flow restriction research with Dr. Chris Proppe.

Her goal is to attend Missouri State's Doctor of Physical Therapy program after graduation, and she says Wichita State has helped her build a competitive portfolio for graduate school.

What does she love most about Exercise Science? Seeing how classroom concepts apply directly to her daily life through nutrition, exercise, and healthy living.

Way to go, Adalynn! 👏💛🖤

What happens when anatomy meets virtual reality? Amazing learning opportunities! Lauren Bryant, faculty in Exercise Science and program alumni, recently visited Wichita State's XR Lab to explore how VR technology can help students visualize and interact with anatomical structures in ways that go beyond the traditional classroom. Looking forward to incorporating more immersive learning experiences into Advanced Anatomy & Physiology of Exercise!

Public health sciences recognized as the next recipient of Rick Rewards!

President Rick Muma and WuShock visited the Department of Public Health Sciences to recognize its members as the next recipient of Rick Rewards. The department was recognized for its recent reaccreditation of the Master of Health Administration program and in celebration of the record enrollment in the Bachelors of Science in health management and health science programs.

Rick Rewards is awarded each month by President Muma to show his appreciation for the efforts of the campus community.

⭐ Student Spotlight: Lyric ⭐

Meet Lyric, a senior Exercise Science student from Wichita, Kansas, and a graduate of Circle High School! After beginning her college journey at Spoon River College in Illinois, where she played volleyball, Lyric chose to finish her degree at WSU to be closer to her family.

After graduation, Lyric hopes to combine her passion for wellness and adventure by traveling the world and teaching yoga. 🌎🧘‍♀️

🌟 Student Spotlight 🌟

Meet one of our outstanding Exercise Science students, Saul! Born and raised in Wichita, KS, this senior is on track to graduate this spring while also serving our country as a member of the U.S. Army.

After graduation, Saul plans to attend medical school and pursue his dream of becoming a physician. While Exercise Science may not be the traditional pre-med path, Saul chose it because of his passion for the field and the strong foundation it provides in anatomy, physiology, and human health.

We're proud to celebrate students who are dedicated to serving others, excelling academically, and pursuing ambitious goals. Join us in wishing Saul success as he takes the next step toward a career in medicine! 👏🩺
