Welcome to NKU our newest Perfusion students!

From New York to Las Vegas they’ve all made NKU their home and we couldn’t be happier they’re here. Last Friday they met together to hear from faculty and other perfusion students before the semester gets underway.

We wish you good luck and we can’t wait to see where you are when we check in later this semester!

Give a warm welcome (and a “good luck”) to our new cohort in the Radiologic Science Program!

These students enter the program with little knowledge of Radiologic Science and in five weeks they’ll be ready to hit the ground running in clinicals.

They’re already doing great, and they’re all great students. Welcome to the program😎

Congratulations to Kristina Muntifering for being selected to represent her home state of Ohio in the Student Leadership Development program!

Kristina and Dr. Carrie Hipple attended the ASRT Educational Symposium and House of Delegates meeting on June 25. Kristina was able to learn about Portable X-Ray machines, which she typically does not use.

May is National Allergy and Asthma Month!

With the change in seasons, chances are you know someone who's had a stuffy nose or some itchy eyes in the past few weeks. Seasonal Allergies are annoying, hard to combat, and can last long periods of time. Make sure you have some allergy medicine nearby!

Asthma awareness is also very important. Asthma attacks can happen quickly and without warning. Make sure you know what to do if someone around you suffers an attack or call emergency services.

Visit https://aafa.org/get-involved/asthma-and-allergy-awareness-month/ for more information about how to support those with allergies and asthma.

This past Thursday May 7. we congratulated 8 of our graduating Respiratory Care students as they received their Pinning Ceremony!

Pinning Ceremonies are a long-standing tradition and we're proud to keep it going. These students presented their capstone research projects only a few weeks ago, and now we're calling them colleagues!🙌

Congratulations to everyone who was pinned, and thank you to all the family, friends, and mentors who came to support their graduate for this occasion!

Last Thursday May 7. we celebrated students from the Radiologic Science Program who graduated and got pinned!

This tradition dates back hundreds of years, and we're proud to continue it. Students and their families gathered together to celebrate accomplishments, graduates, and new careers starting soon.

We're so proud of you all, and so glad we can finally call you our colleagues!

(Note: Not all graduates are pictured)

Happy Perfusion Week!

To end this special week, we stopped by Perfusion Students during one of their labs to ask why they chose the Perfusion Program and what Perfusion means to them.

We can't wait to see you all saving lives soon!
