A packed auditorium, plenty of thoughtful questions and an exciting look at where a career in advertising could lead. 👀✨

A big thank you to Ogilvy’s Learning & Development Coordinators for introducing our students to career opportunities at Ogilvy and sharing insights into the 2027 Graduate Programme recruitment process.

We were especially delighted to welcome back CTCA alum Yingy (Yingcwaliso Mabandla), now an Art Director at Ogilvy, alongside Vuyani and Shahid from the Ogilvy Graduate Programme.

Thank you for giving our students a glimpse into how Ogilvy builds brands, transforms them into experiences and communicates the stories that bring them to life.🎉✨

Hands-on in the workshop with our second-year Product Development Lab students!💡✨

Using the iconic Anglepoise lamp as inspiration, students are exploring woodworking, mechanical articulation and 3D design to create their own adjustable desk lamps. The wooden base and pivoting joints provide the structure, while the lampshade is designed in Rhino and fabricated through 3D printing to support and enhance the wooden form.

Watch this space as these designs take shape!

CTCA Communication Design students shine in this year’s MCC Label competition!✨🏆👏

The competition offered our students the opportunity to explore the specialised field of premium wine packaging. Their designs needed to consider not only visual appeal, but also how storytelling, brand narrative, typography, material choices, tactile qualities and print production techniques work together to create a memorable presence on the shelf.

Each student developed an original wine brand and brought its story to life through a unified series of labels, producing concepts with the detail and sophistication of market-ready packaging.

We are thrilled to celebrate the students whose work was selected for this year’s competition:

Finalists
Neve Irish — Mended Fence
Jaime Farara — Pienk Paleis
Ethan Breetzke — First Draft

Silver Award
Carla Snyman — Bennie and Bessie

Lecturer: Clayton Sutherland
Congratulations to everyone involved on this fantastic achievement! 🥂
