IT Intern opportunity
Overview
Our IT Department in Anglo American Science Centre is looking for two interns who are looking to gain some first-hand experience. As interns, you will be managed by a member of the IT Service Team who will provide guidance and mentoring. This is a great opportunity if you are want to experience IT in a support role while having mentors available to assist and mentor you in your journey.
Note that candidates who have previous IT experience (either in a previous internship or working capacity) will not be considered.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Working within an IT Team in assisting learners.
• Assisting Teachers with IT related issues.
• Provide teacher training on ICT skills.
• Perform any related center responsibilities.
• Maintaining asset inventory and managing center resources.
• Helping departmental officials with IT Support.
• Contribute fully as an active team member and ensure team objectives are achieved.
• Work between 7h45 am to 16h15 pm (SA time) *8hours with a 1hour lunch break.
Requirements
• Be Based around Emalahleni or be willing to relocate
• IT based qualification Diploma or Degree
• Matric certification
• Well spoken
• No previous working experience required
• Able to learn and develop
• Highly motivated with a passion for technology and working with people
• A highly trustworthy individual
