This year’s CSE project took us to Ikageng in Potchefstroom where we worked to repaint and renovate parts of the school and playground. Thanks to our CSE HC and his committee we could make an impact at the school and try make a difference in something bigger than ourselves. This year’s progress on the project can be seen as a huge success, CSE Jys Perd. ❀️🐎

Hierdie jaar se CSE-projek het ons na Ikageng in Potchefstroom geneem waar ons gewerk het om dele van die skool en speelgrond oor te verf en op te knap. Danksy ons CSE-hoofvakleier en sy komitee kon ons 'n impak by die skool maak en probeer om 'n verskil te maak in iets groter as onsself. Hierdie jaar se vordering met die projek kan as 'n groot sukses beskou word, CSE Jys Perd. ❀️🐎

Our gents took the stage last week to perform the annual serenade performance. The arts portfolio has been doing extremely well this year and they definitely carried the momentum into this performance. The guys performed on Thursday night and then Friday night again for the finals. Our fingers are crossed for the results on Wednesday. 🎭🐎

Ons manne het verlede week die verhoog betree om die jaarlikse serenade-uitvoering op te voer. Die kunsportefeulje het vanjaar uitstekend gevaar en hulle het beslis die momentum in hierdie opvoering gedra. Die manne het Donderdagaand en toe weer Vrydagaand vir die finaal opgetree. One of the long standing traditions in the residence is to invite the residence members fathers for a weekend of fun activities and bonding. This year was a massive success and we hope that all the dads that came enjoyed their time spent with their sons as well as our residence. We hope to see the same faces next time around. ❀️🐎

This years residence basketball league concluded last week and we are very proud of our team that made it to the quarter finals. The team showed determination and left it all on the court this year. The residence had a lot of fun coming out and supporting these games and we hope to do even better next year. πŸ€πŸŽ

In die stilte van skaduwees. Our theatre production did extremely well this year placing third in the men’s as well as AndrΓ© van Zyl winning best supporting actor. We were also nominated for best script and best ensemble representing the hard work and dedication put into the production by the actors and the entire team involved. Massive congratulations to the gents who were a part of it and their success this year. 🎭🐎

We had the privilege of bidding farewell to one of Villagers founding fathers, Mr Bert Sorgdrager. After years of service he is retiring and Villagers gave him his farewell. We also handed some of our old Prims horse sculptures as a part of a long standing tradition in the residence. These are the men who built and shaped our residence and it was a great honour to provide them with this ceremony. 🐎🐎

Ons het die voorreg gehad om afskeid te neem van een van Villagers se stigtersvaders, mnr. Bert Sorgdrager. Na jare se diens tree hy af en Villagers het hom sy afskeid geneem. Ons het ook van ons ou Prims-perdbeelde oorhandig as deel van 'n lang tradisie in die koshuis. Dit is die manne wat ons koshuis gebou en gevorm het en dit was 'n groot eer om hulle hierdie seremonie te gee. 🐎🐎
