Durban friends! Opera UCT pianist and coach, Lisa Engelbrecht gives a public masterclass at UKZN this morning with voice students from OSCA (the Opera Studio and Choral Academy).

At 15h00 this afternoon she is joined by Opera UCT award-winning baritone Sandile Samuel Zitha for a recital "An die Musik" featuring selections by Handel, Mozart, Schubert, Tosti, Bizet, Puccini, Gershwin and more!

Final bow at the Baxter ✨

A beautiful second and final night of our collaboration between OperaUCT and Stellenbosch University 🎶🤍 Thank you to Minette Du Toit-Pearce for assisting with directing the programme, and to Dr Lisa Engelbrecht & Phillipus Hugo for supporting our singers on piano.

The concert will now take place on:

This production of Orfeo ed Euridice was made even more special through our collaboration with Suidoosterfees - a meeting of artistry, passion, and purpose that we will carry with us for a long time.

To our phenomenal cast, chorus, UCT Symphony Orchestra, and the incredible crew behind the scenes - the hands that built, lit, dressed, managed, and held this entire world together. Thank you.
