💙💛 MENTAL HEALTH MONTH 2026: MOVE FOR A BETTER MOOD!

✨ A happier mind in a healthier body.

VUT students, did you know that movement can do more than keep your body healthy? Physical activity can also support your mental well-being, improve your mood, reduce stress and help you feel more energised. 🌱

You don’t have to be an athlete or spend hours at the gym to experience the benefits. Even small amounts of movement throughout your day can make a difference!

🏃🏽‍♀️ 5 easy ways to add more movement to your day:

🚶🏽 Take a walk. Walk to class, explore the campus or take a short walk during study breaks.

🪜 Choose the stairs. Make small opportunities to move part of your daily routine.

🧘🏽 Stretch it out. Take a few minutes to stretch, release tension and refresh your mind.

🤝 Be active with others. Join a sports team, dance group or enjoy a walk with friends.

💃🏽 Find a fun activity. Dance, play sport or try something new that you genuinely enjoy.

💛 Your challenge today: Take 15 minutes to move your body. Notice how you feel before and afterwards.

Remember, movement is not about competition, appearance or perfection. It is about taking care of yourself, one step at a time.

💙 Move your body. Clear your mind. Boost your mood!

💙💛 MENTAL HEALTH MONTH 2026: DIGITAL BALANCE — A HEALTHIER MIND IN A CONNECTED WORLD!

📱✨ Less scrolling. More living.

VUT students, technology helps us learn, communicate and stay connected. But spending too much time online can sometimes affect our sleep, concentration, mood and self-esteem.

The goal isn’t to disconnect completely. It’s to build a healthier relationship with technology while making space for the people and experiences that matter. 💛

🌿 5 ways to practise digital balance:

⏰ Set screen-time limits. Be intentional about how much time you spend scrolling, gaming or streaming.

👀 Be mindful of what you consume. Follow content that educates, inspires and uplifts you. Unfollow accounts that negatively affect your well-being.

📵 Take technology breaks. Put your phone aside during meals, study breaks and time with friends.

😴 Protect your sleep. Create a relaxing bedtime routine and try to avoid screens before going to sleep.

🫂 Stay connected offline. Make time for face-to-face conversations, meaningful friendships and activities you enjoy.

Remember, social media often shows only selected moments of people’s lives. Avoid measuring your worth against someone else’s online highlights. Your journey is your own. 🌱

💙 Challenge for today: Put your phone away for 30 minutes and do something that nourishes your mind.

Be online when it helps you, and present when life is happening around you!

💙💛 MENTAL HEALTH MONTH 2026: PRACTISE GRATITUDE!

✨ Brighter days, stronger you.

VUT students, sometimes life gets so busy that we focus on everything that is going wrong and forget to appreciate the little things that make life meaningful. 💛

Gratitude is about noticing and appreciating the good in our lives, even when things are not perfect. It doesn’t mean ignoring your challenges or pretending to be happy all the time. It means making space to recognise what is still going well. 🌱

🌻 5 ways to practise gratitude:

📝 Write it down. Each day, write down three things you are grateful for, no matter how small.

💛 Notice the good. Appreciate the little moments, like a kind message, a beautiful day or completing a difficult task.

🫂 Appreciate your people. Thank the friends, family members, lecturers and classmates who support you.

🌿 Be kind to yourself. Recognise your efforts, celebrate your progress and acknowledge your strengths.

🌅 Look forward with hope. Be open to new opportunities, lessons and possibilities for growth.

Remember, you can experience difficult emotions and still appreciate the good things in your life. You don’t need a perfect day to find something meaningful.

💙 Today’s reflection: What are THREE things you are grateful for today?

Take a moment to pause, reflect and appreciate how far you have come. Every small step counts!

💙💛 MENTAL HEALTH MONTH 2026: WORRY LESS, FEEL CALMER!

✨ You have more strength than you think.

VUT students, life can sometimes feel overwhelming. Assignments, exams, deadlines, relationships and worries about the future can leave you feeling stressed or anxious. But remember, you don’t have to figure everything out at once. 💛

🌿 5 simple ways to help yourself feel calmer:

🌬️ Take a deep breath. Breathe in slowly, pause gently, and breathe out to help your body relax.

🧘🏽‍♀️ Focus on the present. Bring your attention to what you can see, hear and feel around you.

🚶🏽 Move your body. Take a short walk, stretch or enjoy an activity that helps release tension.

📝 Break tasks into smaller steps. Focus on one thing at a time instead of trying to do everything at once.

🫂 Reach out for support. Talk to a trusted friend, lecturer or Student Counselling & Support (SCS).

Remember, feeling worried doesn’t mean you are weak. You can learn healthy ways to manage difficult moments, and you don’t have to face them alone.

💙 Pause. Breathe. Take one step at a time. You’ve got this!

💙💛 MENTAL HEALTH MONTH 2026: HEALTHY BOUNDARIES, HAPPIER YOU!

✨ It’s okay to put yourself first.

VUT students, remember that protecting your mental health sometimes means learning to say NO without feeling guilty. 💛

Between lectures, assignments, friendships, family expectations and social commitments, it can be easy to give so much of yourself that you forget your own needs.

Healthy boundaries help you protect your time, energy and emotional well-being. They allow you to build healthier relationships while making space for what truly matters to you. 🌱

💙 5 ways to set healthy boundaries:

🗓️ Manage your time. Balance your studies, rest and personal commitments.

🙅🏽‍♀️ It’s okay to say NO. You don’t have to agree to everything to be accepted.

🔋 Protect your energy. Spend time with people who respect, encourage and support you.

💬 Communicate clearly and kindly. Express your needs and limits respectfully.

🌿 Make time to recharge. Rest, enjoy your hobbies and prioritise your well-being.

Remember, setting boundaries doesn’t mean you don’t care about others. It means you recognise that your needs matter too.

You are allowed to protect your peace, choose what works for you and take a step back when you need to.

💛 Your time matters. Your peace matters. YOU matter.

💙💛 MENTAL HEALTH MONTH 2026: YOU BELONG, JUST AS YOU ARE!

✨ Different people enrich our campus.

At VUT, every student matters. Your background, culture, personality, experiences, strengths and dreams are part of what makes you unique. 💛

You deserve to feel welcomed, respected, valued and included — exactly as you are.

🌈 5 ways to create a more inclusive campus:

🤝 Celebrate differences. Be open to learning about different cultures, backgrounds and perspectives.

💬 Include others. Welcome new students and invite someone to join your conversation.

💛 Show respect. Value different opinions, experiences and ways of thinking.

🌻 Choose kindness. Remember that your words and actions can affect how others feel.

🌱 Build a stronger community. Get involved in clubs, societies and campus activities that bring people together.

Remember, belonging is more than being present. It is knowing that you matter, that your voice deserves to be heard and that there is space for you.

💙 Let’s build a VUT community where everyone feels safe, accepted and supported.

💙💛 MENTAL HEALTH MONTH 2026: CHOOSE KINDNESS!

✨ A kinder campus is a healthier campus.

Sometimes, the smallest acts of kindness make the biggest difference. A smile, a thoughtful message, a listening ear or a simple “How are you doing?” can help someone feel seen, valued and supported. 💛

As VUT students, we all have a role to play in creating a campus where everyone feels welcome, respected and included.

🌻 5 ways to show kindness at VUT:

🤝 Be inclusive. Welcome new students and make space for others.

💬 Listen with empathy. Sometimes, someone simply needs to be heard without judgement.

🫂 Offer help. Check in on a classmate who may be struggling.

💛 Use kind words. Encourage others, celebrate their achievements and speak respectfully.

🌱 Do a small act of kindness. A compliment, a smile or a thoughtful message can brighten someone’s day.

Remember, kindness is not a weakness. It builds connection, strengthens relationships and contributes to a more supportive student community.

💙 Be the reason someone smiles today. Your kindness matters!

💙💛 MENTAL HEALTH MONTH 2026: TAKE A BREAK TO TAKE CARE!

✨ Rest is productive. Your well-being matters.

VUT students, remember that you don’t have to be productive every minute of the day! 📚💛 Between lectures, assignments, tests and personal responsibilities, it’s important to give yourself permission to pause.

Taking regular breaks can help you recharge, manage stress and return to your tasks with a clearer mind. 🌿

💙 5 ways to take a meaningful break:

🚶🏽‍♀️ Move your body: Take a short walk, stretch or dance to your favourite song.

🌬️ Breathe and reset: Try slow breathing or a few moments of mindfulness.

📵 Take a digital break: Put your phone aside and give your mind a rest from screens.

🎨 Do something you enjoy: Read, listen to music, draw, journal or spend time in nature.

🫂 Connect with others: Chat with a friend or spend time with someone you trust.

Remember, taking a break is not falling behind. Rest is part of looking after yourself, and you deserve time to recharge without feeling guilty. 💛

Pause. Breathe. Recharge. Keep going. 🌱
