Research by Professor Lucille Ngan from 's Department of Social Science on The Impact of Digital Technologies on the Transnational Ageing Experience of Older Hong Kongers reveals that many older adults whose children live overseas actively embrace digital technology.

By using video calls to strengthen family ties and engaging in online learning and digital payment services, older adults are integrating technology into their daily lives. Technology not only supports greater independence but also fosters a stronger sense of achievement and fulfilment.
