🌟 A Fruitful Study Tour in the Greater Bay Area (GBA)! 🌟

The Undergraduate Office (UGO) of CUHK Business School organised a five-day, four-night study tour to the Greater Bay Area (GBA)! 🌏🚀 Led by Dr. John Lai, Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Studies, the tour provided students with valuable exposure to the GBA’s economic growth, technological advancement, and cultural richness through company visits, interactive experiences, and professional exchanges. Our business students explored the region’s dynamic business landscape across Shenzhen, Zhaoqing, Zhongshan, Foshan and Zhuhai.

🔥 Key highlights from the company visits included:

🚗 Baidu Apollo – autonomous driving technologies
🚁 Dajiang Innovation – immersive drone innovation experience
🍶 Chubang Soy Sauce Factory – where traditional brewing meets modern craftsmanship
🤖 Byhealth Co. Ltd. – insights into a tech-driven dietary supplements factory
✈️ Aifeike Aviation Industry Corporation of China Ltd. – a close-up look at the assembly line of China’s large amphibious aircraft AG600 “Kunlong”
💬 Throughout the tour, students engaged in dialogue with industry leaders and professionals, gaining first-hand insights into how the GBA was shaping the future of business and innovation.
🌿 Beyond company visits, they also explored local culture through visits to Dinghu Mountain and Seven Star Crag Archway, discovering the regions beyond the classroom.

“I was grateful to Baidu for the opportunity to experience Apollo Go, a driverless ride where I enjoyed music and a massage hands-free. At DJI, controlling drones without a remote felt like Iron Man. Thanks to rich company visits and supportive peers, this programme strengthened my understanding of technology integration in business and sharpened my analytical and communication skills for lifelong impact! The BBA-JD Double Degree Programme organised the annual Networking Night in early June, bringing alumni and students together to connect and reconnect. 👥✨

The evening kicked off with some warm words from Programme Co-Directors, Dr. Anthony Law and Mr. Elliot Fung. Following the remarks, over 30 students across different cohorts engaged in discussion circles with peers on similar study paths. 🗣️ Senior BBA-JDers eagerly shared their experiences and offered hands-on tips to juniors, building a peer supportive community. 🤝

After that, the floor opened up for the Alumni Industry Roadshow. 🎓 Graduates enthusiastically shared their real-world career journeys and practical job-hunting advice with current students. With the growing alumni network, it is great to see the BBA-JD cohorts staying close and strong. 🔥

Throwback to our Undergraduate Mentorship Programme Mid-year Get-together! Our mentees, RUNGTA Aashni (IBBA, Year 1) and PHAM An Khanh Alina (GLEF, Year 1), take us through some of the special moments from the day.

Bringing together mentors and mentees once again, the gathering was filled with warm conversations, shared laughter, and meaningful moments of reconnection. Alongside the networking session, participants also enjoyed a guided tour at CUHK Art Museum, and took part in a Cyanotype Greeting Card Workshop, making the morning both engaging and memorable. 💜

In the words of Aashni and Alina, “Getting to spend time with our mentors has been incredibly meaningful. Their guidance has given us perspectives on the banking and finance industry that are both practical and inspiring.”

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the event so memorable. We are excited to see this mentorship community continue to grow. 🌱✨

🎉 CUHK Business School — Your Global Second Home.🏡

In March, the Undergraduate Office and a group of international student organisers co-hosted our annual event UG Get Together. We brought together more than 120 students from local, international, mainland, and incoming exchange communities representing over 10 regions. 🌏 It was a wonderful occasion for our business students, as well as students from other CUHK faculties – including Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Science and Faculty of Social Science. We were also delighted to welcome friends from CityU, HKBU, HKU, and PolyU, who joined us to connect, celebrate cultural diversity and create memorable moments at CUHK Business School. 💛

The event was kicked off with warm welcoming remarks from Dr. John Lai, Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Studies, and Ms. Rose Chan, Administrative Director (UG Programmes).✨

Here’s a snapshot of what we enjoyed together:

🌍 Potluck Feast
Students shared Indonesian, Malaysian, Mongolian, Singaporean, Thai, Taiwanese and Vietnamese cuisines and snacks, bringing a variety of flavours and cultures to the table. 🍽️✨

🎶 Karaoke
The venue was filled with energy and laughter as students took turns singing their favourite songs from around the world and sharing joyful moments together.🌟

💡 Games & Cultural Sharing
Through engaging fun games and cultural sharing, everyone had the opportunity to learn more about different cultures and traditions. 🌍

A sincere thank you to everyone who joined and helped make the event such a memorable occasion. 💫
