I’m back on air this evening at 6pm with my new show, The Thursday Mixtape.

Every week I’ll be sharing a different collection of music that’s crossed my path over the years. Expect the unexpected, with tracks from across genres, eras and countries sitting side by side. Sometimes there’ll be a theme, sometimes there won’t, but the aim is always the same: two hours of great music and new discoveries. It’s a little bit of all kinds of everything.

Then tomorrow at 11am, Shush! Sounds from UCC Library returns, in its new time slot, for the first show of the new academic year

As is now Shush tradition, the programme features music chosen by colleagues from across UCC Library. Between the songs, I’ll introduce some of the people who help make the Library what it is and share a little about the work they do to support learning, teaching, research, student life and digital innovation across the university.

The latest Shush Takeover show is now available.

On this show I was joined by Gary Hurley, SIPTU UCC Convener, () for a conversation about his role representing over 1,000 professional staff across UCC.

Gary shared insights from 14 years in industrial relations, covering everything from remote working and promotions to annual leave and staff wellbeing, alongside reflections on library spaces and campus life.

Plus, he brings a carefully chosen music selection to the show — with a special treat for anyone who loves musical theatre.
