Experience Gershwin’s lush symphonic portrait of Porgy and Bess with jazz infused elegance. Then, Saxophonist Anthony Vala, winner of the TU Dublin Conservatoire Soloist Competition, takes centre stage for Paul Creston’s exhilarating Concerto for Saxophone and Orchestra; a work of rhythmic energy, lyricism and virtuosity that showcases the remarkable expressive range of the saxophone. The evening culminates in Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, heard in Maurice Ravel’s spectacular orchestration.

Be sure to pop into the National Museum of Ireland Collins Barracks this Sunday, 16 August, for an insightful talk and performance presented by our very own Prof. Clíona Doris and Dr Clare McCague.

Join them in the Palatine Room from 2.30pm – 3.15pm as they explore harp tradition in nineteenth-century Ireland and consider what surviving harps can reveal about a changing musical landscape.

🎉 All-Ireland Champion! 🥇

A huge congratulations to Conservatoire student Abigail O’Brien on winning 1st place in Rogha Gléas O18 at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann!

This year’s Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann was held in Belfast for the very first time, welcoming a record-breaking 1.6 million people over the course of the week.

What an incredible achievement for Abigail and a very proud moment for the Conservatoire! 👏✨

A Day in May: 10 Years On from the Marriage Equality Referendum

Addressing how perspectives of marriage equality may have changed since the ground-breaking 2015 referendum, the documentary includes highlights from TU Dublin Conservatoire's 2025 theatre production of A Day in May by Colin Murphy with Charlie Bird, as well as interviews with the cast.
