It was great to see the MBA community back together.

From TU Dublin to New York.

Fine Art alumna Mary Ronayne returns to New York this September for The Armory Show 2026, presenting her distinctive wallpaper series.

Inspired by her Irish roots, Mary says:
“My style was nurtured by the Irish landscape and folklore. The seasons fed my colour palette. The rich storytelling fed my imagination.”

We’re proud to see Mary bring her personal vision to the international art stage.

Six hours a week. A tiny budget. And one simple challenge: “Show me what you can do.”

Herbie McClelland did just that.

What started with no sports department, no facilities and very little money became a remarkable 42-year career at DIT, with Herbie helping to build sport from the ground up and creating opportunities, friendships and memories for generations of students.

A talented athlete who represented Ireland in cross-country, Herbie brought his lifelong love of sport to everything he did.

Warm, funny and full of stories, he’s a true TU Dublin character – and he’s still running the trails of the Dublin Mountains.

Where can a TU Dublin education take you?

For these five alumni, the answer has been very different.

A career in marketing. A leadership role in higher education. A career spanning advertising, sponsorship and sustainability. Leading HR at Engineers Ireland. And a journey into the world of automotive engineering.

Bríd O’Connell, Dr Cliona O’Dunlaing, Jill Downey, Imelda Flattery and Gavid Duffy each followed their own path - but they all started here.

As we celebrate 25 years of TU Dublin Foundation, we’re celebrating the alumni who remind us of the many possibilities that can begin with an education at TU Dublin.

From Clare to Auckland, via some of the world’s leading agencies (and, apparently, a childhood encounter with a future WWE champion), TU Dublin alumnus Rory Gallery has built a career around asking the big questions that shape brands and culture.

Recently named Global Strategic Planner of the Year, Rory shares why simplicity beats jargon, consistency beats quick fixes, and there’s always a “next one” to aim for.

Sometimes the career you imagine isn’t the one you end up pursuing. 🎬

TU Dublin alumnus Domhnall Gleeson arrived at Dublin Institute of Technology hoping to write and direct, but his path took him in front of the camera, with roles in Harry Potter, Star Wars, Brooklyn, About Time and The Revenant.

In a recent feature, Domhnall reflects on his time at TU Dublin, his career in film and television, and why Ireland remains home.

As the new rugby season gets underway, we’re shining a spotlight on TU Dublin alumna Aileen Bailey, whose career has been shaped by a passion for helping people thrive from postgraduate study alongside work and family life, to leading people strategy as Chief People Officer at the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU). 🏉

We chatted to Aileen about leadership, lifelong learning and the reality of balancing big goals with busy lives.

Spoiler: there may be late nights, deadlines and plenty of coffee involved… but you’ll never regret investing in yourself.
