We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Glen Hansard, an esteemed musician and iconic figure in the Irish music industry.

In 2016, TU Dublin Societies (formally DIT) were honoured to present Glen with the inaugural Brendan Behan Award, recognising his outstanding contribution to music and the arts.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, colleagues, and all those who were touched by his remarkable talent and work.

When Ciarán Byrne returned to TU Dublin to study for an MBA, he wasn’t just looking to add another qualification to his CV (although that’s always a nice bonus 😉).

He wanted to become a better leader.

The experience shaped how he approaches strategy, leadership and organisational change, while the friendships and conversations beyond the classroom became some of his most memorable moments.

Today, with a career spanning Citi, J.P. Morgan and Deutsche Bank, Ciarán reflects on the importance of lifelong learning, staying curious and investing in yourself.

✨ Congratulations to TU Dublin alumna Oonagh Ryan on her elevation to the American Institute of Architects (AIA) College of Fellows - one of the highest honours in architecture.

The AIA is the leading professional organisation for architects in the United States, recognising excellence and contributions to the profession. Fellowship is awarded to fewer than 3% of AIA members, making this an exceptional achievement.

Now based in Los Angeles, where she leads Oonagh Ryan Architects, Oonagh continues to make a lasting impact on the global architecture community.

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate her achievement. 💙👏
