You are allowed to change direction, you are allowed to realise that something you once wanted no longer fits who you are becoming.

A lot of students and graduates feel pressure to have everything mapped out perfectly, the exact career, the exact role and the exact future.

Very few people actually do.

Some of the most satisfied professionals I have worked with changed direction completely after discovering more about themselves, their strengths and what mattered to them.

Changing direction is not failure, sometimes it is growth.
Reach out to us if you want to book a session to chat about where you are at and where you are going.

Some of the most important growth never shows up in grades.

Over the last year you have developed skills that that won't appear beside a module result.

Things like:
Resilience
Adaptability
Confidence
Emotional intelligence
Learning to speak up
Rebuilding after setbacks
Continuing even after motivation was low

These things matter, in the workplace, in relationships and in life.

Academic results are important but they are not your only measure of growth, sometimes the biggest transformation happens quietly.
If you would like to chat to us in the career development centre about what is next, we are here for you this summer.

You're allowed to change your mind.

Many students quietly panic when they realise:

They may not want the career they originally planned
Their placement or internship program changed their perspective
They have outgrown their old goals
Feel uncertain after finishing college

That's more common than you think.
Career development is not about getting every decision "right" the first time

It's about learning:

What suits you
What drains you
What motivates you
What kind of environment helps you thrive

Some of the most successful professionals have changed direction several times throughout their careers.
You are not behind because you are figuring things out.

You are learning about yourself.

A lot of students are finishing exams carrying pressure that nobody talks about.

Pressure to:
Know the next step
Secure that graduate role
Have a 5-year plan
Feel "sorted"

But career paths are rarely linear.
Many people build confidence after college, not during it.

This summer doesn't need to define your entire future and remember you can book an appointment to talk with us in the career development centre this summer, we are here to help you

Use it to:
Recover your energy
Build experience
Reflect honestly
Develop confidence
Take one practical next step

Progress is still progress even when it looks slower that someone else's.

πŸ“’ Attention TU Dublin Graduates - Class of 2025!!

πŸ“… The HEA Graduate Outcomes Survey is currently underway. All TU Dublin graduates from the class of 2025 are currently being contacted by email, text and /or by phone.

πŸ’‘ Tracking graduate outcomes is crucial to improving the quality of education for students, and outcomes for graduates. In assessing relevance of studies, gender pay gaps and employment outcomes (amongst many other factors), policymakers can bring the voice of graduates to the forefront of evidence-based decisions.

πŸ’» The Graduate Outcomes Survey is a national survey distributed to all graduates of HEA higher education institutions (HEIs), 9 months after graduation.
Please help us to help future graduates of TU Dublin by completing the survey and giving us your feedback.
