From Kerry College, Clash Road Campus to exciting international hospitality careers, Fiona O'Connor and Danielle Brennan are shining examples of where a passion for hospitality can take you! 🌍

Fiona (left) progressed from the QQI Level 5 Hospitality Operations programme to Shannon College of Hotel Management, University of Galway, and is now a valued member of the team at the Munich Marriott Hotel City West. Having gained experience across Food and Beverage, Events, Front Office and Housekeeping, Fiona has discovered a particular passion for Rooms Division. Her journey has already taken her across Germany and Europe, and she's now setting her sights on a final-year placement in Australia! ✈️

Danielle (right) also progressed to Shannon College of Hotel Management and completed her second-year placement at The Grove Hotel, Watford, UK, where she developed her skills in Housekeeping and Food and Beverage. With her sights set on new adventures, Danielle hopes to secure her final-year placement in either America or Canada. 🌟

🎓 Both Fiona and Danielle built a strong foundation at Kerry College, giving them the skills, confidence and opportunities to thrive in the hospitality industry on a global stage.

We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved and can't wait to see where their hospitality journeys take them next! 👏

During Mental Health Month 2026, HSE Resource Officer for Su***de Prevention Donagh Hennebry answered questions from the Clash Road Campus Communications and Journalism in Society class for their research project on gender prejudice and discrimination.

He spoke about several topics including his work, the factors that positively and negatively affect mental health, su***de prevention in the workplace, and explained the Five Ways to wellbeing. Mr. Hennebry provided a range of valuable resources on mental health and sources for research.

A sincere thank you to Donagh for taking the time to share his expertise, insights and practical guidance with our learners. His contribution highlighted the importance of looking after our mental health, supporting one another and creating a culture where conversations about wellbeing can happen openly. Good mental health is the foundation for learning, working and thriving, and we are grateful for the knowledge and awareness he brought to our campus community. 💚
