🥇 Natalia Izdebska took the first place and 🥈 Adam Król the second place in the tenth edition of Falling Walls Lab Wrocław. This international competition brings together students, early-career researchers and professionals who present ideas for addressing major problems and future challenges.

👩‍🏫 Natalia's presentation was entitled "Breaking the Wall of Energy Limits". Adam's presentations "Breaking the Wall of Last-Mile Deliveries" addressed the challenge of delivering goods to customers, particularly courier parcels.

🔜 Another challenge now awaits the two prize-winners. 📅 On 9 November, they will represent WUT at the global final in Berlin, held as part of the Science Summit.

👷👷‍♀️ A team from the Warsaw University of Technology Faculty of Civil Engineering is participating in the international DTERBIM project (Driving Transformation on Energy-efficient and circular Renovation through BIM). The initiative aims to develop a method that will accelerate the transformation of Europe’s construction sector towards energy-efficient, circular renovation. ♻️

🤝 The DTERBIM consortium comprises 18 organisations from eight countries: Poland, Spain, the United Kingdom, Greece, Germany, Italy, Belgium and Estonia. The project is being carried out under a Horizon Europe grant and co-funded by the European Union. 🇪🇺

📌 The PW project team comprises prof. Tomasz Piotrowski, PhD; prof. Andrzej Garbacz, PhD; Maja Kępniak, PhD; Agnieszka Kaliszuk-Wietecka, PhD; Ireneusz Czmoch, PhD; and Marta Nawrocka, MSc.

🏆 The Koło Naukowe Robotyków KNR Drone team from WUT took third place 🥉 in the international Student Unmanned Aerial Systems Competition (SUAS), held in Tulsa, USA. 🇺🇸 A total of 57 teams from around the world took part in the competition.

🧑‍🎓 The KNR Drone team was represented at the competition by: Igor Ząbek, Paweł Zawadzki, Franciszek Jóźwiak, Paweł Kwiatkowski, Rafał Lesiak, Przemysław Rybkiewicz, Michał Lejwoda, Konrad Tokarek, Piotr Pawlus and Krystian Wiśniewski.

📌 Warsaw University of Technology is ranked in the 1401–1600 band. This year’s ranking includes 44 institutions from Poland, 13 of which are technical universities.
