Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility at Erciyes University, Türkiye
Between 29 June and 2 July 2026, two academic staff members from the Faculty of Management and Rural Tourism, University of Life Sciences "King Mihai I" from Timișoara, participated in an Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility hosted by the Faculty of Agriculture, Erciyes University, Kayseri, Turkey.
During the mobility, Lecturer Monica Ocnean, PhD delivered lectures and teaching activities in the field of accounting and finance, while Associate Professor Ioana Bălan, PhD taught courses on Food Security, addressing current topics such as global food security challenges, sustainable agri-food systems, food production sustainability, and the role of public policies in ensuring access to safe and nutritious food.
The programme also included meetings with members of the host institution and study visits to several food processing companies, providing valuable insights into modern food processing technologies, food quality and safety standards, and management systems implemented within the Turkish food industry.
This Erasmus+ mobility provided an excellent opportunity for academic and professional exchange, strengthening teaching competencies and fostering collaboration between the two partner universities. Furthermore, the activities carried out during the visit laid the foundation for future joint research projects, academic exchanges, and international partnerships in the fields of agriculture, food security, and sustainable agri-food systems.
