本場工作坊將協助你解讀台灣職場的溝通邏輯✍🏻、克服語言與文化差異帶來的挑戰，並學會如何有效展現個人核心價值。兩位講者將以過來人的視角，分享從求學到就業的實戰經驗，引導你快速上手台灣職場文化。

Are you ready to start your internship in Taiwan? In a cross-cultural workplace, understanding office communication and building trust are key to your success.

Following our workshops on resumes and interviews, this third NTUxCake Workshop focuses on the "Taiwan Workplace Survival Guide." We have invited two experienced professionals—Coco Yap, an NTU alumna from Malaysia, and Davlen Tandersen from Indonesia—to share their practical strategies for the Taiwanese workplace.

In this workshop, you will learn to navigate the communication logic of the Taiwanese workplace and gain practical tools to overcome cultural barriers. Our speakers will guide you on how to effectively showcase your core values and professionalism in any business setting. By sharing their real-life journeys from campus to career, this session will help you build the confidence to succeed in Taiwan's professional world!

Notes:
🔹 The maximum capacity for each workshop is 60 participants, plus 5 waitlist spots. Each student may only register for one workshop.

2017 年諾貝爾化學獎得主喬渥金·法蘭克 (Joachim Frank) 教授，將於2026年5月6日 14:00 ，應「宋恭源先生頂尖研究講座」與「臺灣橋樑計畫」之邀，於臺灣大學進行以「 #低溫電子顯微鏡：分子醫學和藥物設計的新基礎」(Cryo-electron microscopy, a new foundation for molecular medicine and drug design) 為題的專題演講。

法蘭克 (Joachim Frank) 教授現任教於美國哥倫比亞大學(Columbia University)，同時是美國國家科學院、美國藝術與科學院院士。他是公認的冷凍電子顯微鏡高解析應用的先驅，與Jacques Dubochet 和 Richard Henderson 共同獲得2017年的諾貝爾化學獎。

法蘭克教授開發冷凍電子顯微鏡 (Cryo-EM) 中的關鍵影像處理技術，使科學家得以在原子解析度下觀察生物巨分子的真實結構。他發展出一套演算法，能將電子顯微鏡捕捉到的數千張雜亂、二維的蛋白質投影影像，透過計算與重組，還原成精確的三維空間模型。這項突破不但克服生物樣本在電子束照射下容易受損的難題，也擺脫傳統X射線晶體繞射技術需耗費長時間生長高品質單晶的限制。

冷凍電子顯微鏡技術讓研究人員能直接觀察蛋白質在幾近自然生理狀態下的動態變化，為核糖體運作機制、病毒感染路徑及藥物靶點設計提供前所未有的視覺證據。這項技術至今已成為現代藥物開發與生命科學研究中不可或缺的導航儀，持續引領人類探索微觀世界的奧秘。

Professor Joachim Frank is currently a faculty member at Columbia University in the United States and a member of both the U.S. National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. He is widely recognized as a pioneer in the application of cryo-electron microscopy to determine the high-resolution structures of biomacromolecules. He was awarded the 2017 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, together with Professors Jacques Dubochet and Richard Henderson.

Professor Frank developed the key image-processing techniques in cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) that enable scientists to visualize biomolecular structures at atomic resolution.

Today, this technology has become a cornerstone and an indispensable tool in modern drug development and life science research, continuing to guide humanity in exploring the mysteries of the microscopic world.

▌臺大取得2028亞太教育年會主辦權 百年校慶再迎國際高教盛會🎂

國立臺灣大學與 #亞太教育者協會（Asia-Pacific Association for International Education, ）於4月10日簽訂APAIE 2028主辦合約，正式確認由 。 #2028 年適逢 #臺大創校一百週年，此次成功再次爭取主辦權，別具意義，象徵臺大在百年發展的重要時刻，持續以開放、多元與前瞻的姿態，深化與國際高等教育社群的連結。

📍APAIE為亞太地區最具代表性的國際高等教育交流平台之一，長期促進各國大學、教育機構及相關組織之間的合作與對話。年會暨教育展匯聚來自世界各地的高等教育領袖、國際事務主管、學者與專業人士，是推動跨國合作、分享高教發展趨勢與實務經驗的重要場合。臺大此次取得APAIE 2028主辦權，不僅是對臺大國際化成果的肯定，也將進一步提升臺灣高等教育的國際能見度。

📍臺大曾於2011年主辦APAIE年會，當年在校內舉辦即創下與會人數新高，為臺灣高教國際交流留下重要里程碑。時隔多年再次取得主辦權，顯示臺大在推動國際合作、建立全球夥伴關係及整合校內外資源方面，持續獲得國際高教社群的信任與支持。對臺大而言，APAIE 2028不僅是一場大型國際會議，更是百年校慶的重要國際活動之一，將成為向世界展現臺大辦學成果與國際視野的重要平台。

▌NTU Will Host APAIE 2028, Marking a Major International Milestone in Its Centennial Year

National Taiwan University (NTU) has officially signed the host agreement with the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education ( ), confirming that NTU will host the APAIE 2028 Conference and Exhibition in Taipei. The event will take place during NTU’s centennial year, making the occasion especially meaningful for the University as it celebrates one hundred years of academic excellence, institutional development, and growing international engagement.

APAIE is one of the most important higher education platforms in the Asia-Pacific region, bringing together university leaders, international educators, policymakers, and higher education professionals from around the world. Through its annual conference and exhibition, APAIE promotes dialogue, partnership, and innovation across borders. NTU is honored to work in close partnership with APAIE in preparing for the 2028 conference and to contribute to the continued growth of international higher education collaboration in the region.

Hosting APAIE 2028 is of particular significance for NTU. The University previously hosted the APAIE conference in 2011, and the 2028 edition will mark NTU’s second time serving as host. It will also be the third time that Taiwan hosts the conference, reflecting the strong and continuing role of Taiwanese universities in regional and global higher education exchange. For NTU, the opportunity to host APAIE again during its centennial year highlights both its long-standing commitment to internationalization and its readiness to help shape the future of higher education cooperation.

The signing of the agreement also represents an important step in the continuing partnership between NTU and APAIE. With the support of the Ministry of Education and FICHET, NTU looks forward to welcoming higher education partners from across the Asia-Pacific and beyond, while showcasing the strengths of Taiwan’s higher education sector, including academic quality, openness to collaboration, and a dynamic international environment.

▌Empowering Global Visionaries: The 2026 NTU International Talent Cultivation Reception

The true essence of internationalization lies in the transformation of individuals. NTUOIA recently hosted the “2026 NTU International Talent Cultivation Reception,” bringing together our esteemed corporate partners and individual donors to witness the profound impact of their generosity on the next generation of global leaders.

We were honored to welcome a distinguished group of supporters, including leaders from the Hsieh Kuo-Cheng Baseball & Cultural Foundation, Missioncare Healthcare System, CSC Industrial, Yuanta Bank, USPACE Technology, the Harvard Club of the ROC, Hua Nan Commercial Bank, and esteemed former diplomats.

During the event, donors shared inspiring insights from their own global careers, urging students to embrace curiosity and resilience. In return, student representatives shared moving stories of how international mobility—supported by these scholarships—has reshaped their worldviews, built their confidence, and defined their career aspirations.

Through flagship initiatives like “NTU Beyond Borders,” NTU successfully sent over 1,500 students abroad last year. ▌長崎大學訪問臺大深化醫療研討：續簽合作協議，共拓精準醫療新領域 🇯🇵

#日本姊妹校 #長崎大學 永安 武校長 於上周率醫學院師長團訪問臺大，並出席「2026 臺灣大學－長崎大學醫療雙邊論壇」。本校由陳文章校長與袁孝維國際長代表接待，雙方就醫學研究與跨領域合作展開深入對話。

📍長崎大學在醫學、感染症及全球健康領域享有國際盛譽。本次論壇聚焦精準與永續醫療，針對肺癌治療、再生醫學、AI 輔助診斷及精準醫療等前瞻議題進行專題交流🗣️。此外，本次會面亦完成兩校校級合作協議的第三次續約，象徵自 2010 年結盟以來夥伴關係的進一步深化。在醫學院層級，雙方已於 2025 年啟動醫學生交換計畫🌏，每年互派學生進行臨床實習。

訪團此行亦參觀了臺大癌醫中心，實地考察癌症治療與臨床研究實力。展望未來，兩校將在國家重點領域國際合作聯盟（ ）的架構下，除了強化精準醫療合作，也計畫將交流範疇拓展至農業與海洋工程等跨領域學科，厚植雙邊研究實力。

▌NTU and Nagasaki University Deepen Medical Research and Strategic Collaboration

On April 23, 2026, a delegation from Nagasaki University (NU), led by President Takeshi Nagayasu, visited National Taiwan University (NTU) to participate in the "2026 NTU–Nagasaki University Medical Joint Symposium." The delegation was received by NTU President Wen-Chang Chen and Vice President for International Affairs Hsiao-Wei Yuan to discuss the future of their long-standing partnership.

As a leading Japanese research institution renowned for its expertise in infectious diseases and global health, NU sent a prominent team of medical faculty to engage with NTU experts. Their discussions spanned cutting-edge topics, including lung cancer treatment, regenerative medicine, AI-assisted diagnostics, and precision medicine. The symposium emphasized advancing sustainable healthcare to tackle cross-border health challenges while fostering international talent development.

This visit also marked the third renewal of the university-wide cooperation agreement first signed in 2010, symbolizing 16 years of steadfast friendship. Beyond the university level, the Colleges of Medicine have strengthened ties through a 2025 student exchange agreement for clinical and laboratory training.

Following a tour of the NTU Cancer Center, both institutions expressed a commitment to expanding their collaboration into interdisciplinary fields such as agriculture and ocean engineering under the University Academic Alliance in Taiwan (UAAT) framework.

▌瑞典皇家理工學院訪問臺大 深化雙邊人才培育與研究合作 🇸🇪

四月春暖時分，臺大迎來了長年合作的瑞典姊妹校—— #皇家理工學院（ ）訪問團。由陳文章校長及李君浩副國際長偕同工學院江茂雄院長及電資學院黃建璋副院長共同接待，就雙方於相關領域之國際學術合作交流。兩校自 2009 年簽署交換學生協議以來✍🏻，長期維持穩固的互訪關係與豐碩的交流成果。

此次會談雙方特別針對人才培育達成多項共識，除研議於工程及電機資訊領域推動「3+2 學碩雙聯學位」的可行性✨，並期許未來將合作延伸至碩博雙聯與共同指導機制，完善高階人才的銜接路徑👤

在研究合作上，兩校將聚焦於人工智慧、半導體及永續能源等關鍵領域🚀，透過建構聯合研究計畫與合作平台，帶動跨國科研參與。此外，雙方亦規劃結合企業資源與本校 Beyond Borders 計畫🏫，支持學生於產業場域進行論文研究並赴瑞典研修，同時藉由 NTU Plus Academy 提供的華語與專業短期課程📝，為 KTH 學生打造更多元的來臺學習選擇。

▌NTU and KTH Royal Institute of Technology Deepen Strategic Partnership in Talent Development and Research

In the vibrant spirit of spring, National Taiwan University (NTU) welcomed a high-level delegation from our long-standing Swedish partner, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, on April 20, 2026. Led by President Anders Söderholm and Vice President for International Relations Stefan Östlund, the delegation was received by NTU President Wen-Chang Chen and Associate Vice President for International Affairs Jiun-Haw Lee. They were joined by Dean Mao-Hsiung Chiang of the College of Engineering and Associate Dean Jian-Jang Huang of the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science to discuss the next chapter of international academic collaboration. This visit marks a significant milestone in a partnership that has flourished since 2009, built on a foundation of steady student exchanges and frequent mutual visits.

The discussions focused on a shared vision for talent cultivation, particularly the feasibility of implementing a "3+2" bachelor’s–master’s pathway in engineering and EECS, with future plans to extend this cooperation to doctoral joint supervision and dual-degree frameworks. Beyond the classroom, the two institutions are set to synergize their research expertise in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and sustainable energy through joint initiatives and collaborative platforms. To further bridge academia and industry, the parties explored integrating corporate resources with NTU’s "Beyond Borders" program, allowing students to conduct thesis research in industrial settings while studying abroad at KTH. Meanwhile, NTU introduced its "NTU Plus Academy" short-term programs—ranging from Chinese language studies to specialized lab research—as a gateway for KTH students to experience the diverse academic and cultural landscape of Taiwan.

▌臺大歡迎新加坡管理大學校長率團訪問，深化商管合作與國際人才培育 🇸🇬🏫

臺大近期迎接姊妹校新加坡管理大學訪問團，由校長江莉莉上任後首次率團來訪臺大，別具意義。訪團成員亦包括副校長 Chan Wai Leng、副教務長 Themin Suwardy 及國際處代表 Ong Suan Hwee。本次訪問由臺大校長陳文章率領接待，李君浩副國際長及簡睿哲管院國際事務副院長共同出席。

📍新加坡管理大學成立於2000年，是新加坡重要的頂尖大學之一，以商業與管理教育為核心💡，並以美式大學制度為藍本，強調跨領域學習與國際化發展。該校設有多個學院，涵蓋會計、商業、經濟、資訊系統、法律及社會科學等領域✍🏻，致力於發展具影響力的跨領域研究，並與國際學術、產業及公共部門維持緊密合作關係。

此次訪問重點聚焦於SMU商學院與臺大管理學院之合作🤝，雙方就課程設計、學術研究及學生交流等面向進行討論🗣️，並探討未來深化雙聯學位與合作計畫的可能性。此外，雙方亦回顧既有合作成果，包括SMU學生曾參「 #臺大國際引路人計畫💼」，於 意法半導體 STMicroelectronics Taiwan、 #美國蒙大拿州亞太商務辦事處、 TLI - Taipei Language Institute 、 遠山呼喚 及 Impact Hub Taipei / 社會影響力製造所 等機構實習，累積跨文化與實務經驗。

期望透過此次訪問，兩校期望攜手培育具國際競爭力的商管人才，並開拓亞太區域高等教育合作的新契機。

▌NTU Welcomes Singapore Management University Delegation to Deepen Collaboration in Business and Global Talent Cultivation

National Taiwan University (NTU) recently welcomed a delegation from its partner institution, Singapore Management University (SMU), led by its President, Lily Kong. This visit marks her first visit to NTU since assuming office, making it a particularly meaningful occasion. The delegation was received by NTU President Wen-Chang Chen, and both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on bilateral collaboration, business education development, and global talent cultivation, reflecting the strong partnership and shared vision for advancing academic exchange.
Founded in 2000, SMU is one of Singapore’s leading universities, with a strong focus on business and management education. Modeled after the American university system, SMU emphasizes interdisciplinary learning, research excellence, and global engagement. The university comprises multiple schools spanning business, accountancy, economics, information systems, law, and social sciences, and maintains close collaborations with academic, industry, and public sector partners worldwide.

The visit focused on strengthening collaboration between SMU’s business school and NTU’s College of Management. Both sides explored opportunities in curriculum development, joint research, and student exchange, as well as the potential for expanding dual-degree and collaborative programs. They also reflected on previous successful initiatives, including SMU students’ participation in NTU’s International Internship Program, where they gained hands-on experience at organizations such as STMicroelectronics, State of Montana Asia Trade Office - Taiwan, Taipei Language Institute, Calls Over Ridges, and Impact Hub Taipei.

Looking ahead, NTU and SMU aim to further connect with SMU’s Global Summer Program (GSP), creating more opportunities for NTU students to participate in internships and academic experiences in Singapore. Through strengthened collaboration in business education, innovation, and interdisciplinary research, both universities aspire to cultivate globally competitive talent and expand higher education partnerships across the Asia-Pacific region.
