This semester students in Alfred University’s Collaborative Performance Lab stepped into the world of The Dog Who Saw God, by Robert R. Bacon, exploring how a story can be told without relying solely on words.

Guided by professor Marketa Fantova, students experimented with space, objects, light, movement, and the senses to create their own interpretation of the story. They then presented their work to Professor Jonathan Ziese, putting their creative choices and collaboration to the test.

But this is only the beginning...

By the end of the semester, the group will take the next step, creating an original play of their own. From writing and performance, to lighting, costumes, set, props, and every other element of the production, the students will bring the entire piece to life themselves.

Stay tuned for what they create later this year!
