Samford Serves: A Campus Wide Day of Service is a big service event held every year by the community engagement office. On April 3, 2027 Faculty, Staff, and Students will volunteer throughout the Greater Birmingham Area. ⁠

Thank you for your incredible support of our Canstruction collaboration with UAB! Our food drive was a success and we exceeded our goal.

Together at Samford we collected 3,186 food items, and when combined with UAB's contributions, we collected approximately 10,000 pounds of food, which will provide 8,300 meals for individuals and families in need. In addition to donating to the Community Foodbank of Central Alabama, we will also be donating to Samford’s own food pantry.

We are also excited to share that Samford received the Best Structural Engineering Award for our Canstruction build! A special thank-you goes to our talented architecture students who helped design and lead the construction process.
