No industry today is more dynamic or growing faster than health care. For those called to a life spent caring for others, the health professions include a diverse range of career options. The School of Health Professions includes a vast array of specialties and fields of study that make up the majority of health-related careers. The school is made up of four departments: Cardiopulmonary Sciences, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Kinesiology and Physical Therapy. To meet the growing demand for highly skilled, compassionate health care providers, we are working to add a number of new degree options, both undergraduate and graduate.

Our Speech Language Pathology students don't just learn from expert faculty and a strong curriculum. They bring classroom concepts to life through creative, interactive experiences. One favorite activity had first-year SLP students building and wearing their own brain hats to explore anatomy in a memorable way.

From creativity to critical thinking, our students are building the knowledge and skills they'll carry into their future careers.

It's a direct path from undergraduate study to graduate clinical training and one of the many ways our students prepare for careers helping others find their voice. ✨

A day of service, a day of impact. 💙

Each semester, students, faculty and staff in our Doctor of Physical Therapy program step out of the classroom and into the community to serve.

This year, they sorted donations, helped build adaptive bikes and conducted fitness screenings alongside local community partners. We're grateful for the organizations that make a difference every day and for opportunities like these to support their work while giving back to our community. 👏✨

Learning by doing! Students in the Sport Injury Prediction class practiced manual muscle testing and range-of-motion measurements, building skills they’ll use in real-world settings. They demonstrated professionalism and a commitment to excellence!

Last week, they received their clinical rotation schedules and celebrated the transition from didactic coursework to clinical training. We're excited to watch them continue growing as future healthcare providers.

Looking back on our annual Commitment to Calling Ceremony, we're reminded of the purpose behind this special tradition.

As each student walked across the stage to receive their cross, they were reminded that their future careers are about more than earning a degree. They're about using their gifts to serve others.
