The transatlantic conversation has begun! 🛫

The EUC joined partners from across the Atlantic at the inaugural TANDEM Dialogue hosted by the University of Victoria on May 14. EUC Director Emanuel Rota and Associate Director Havva Karakas Keles represented the Center in thought-provoking discussions on two pressing issues at the heart of the EU-North America agenda:

🚢 Strategic dilemmas in trade and technological innovation, including industrial policy, export controls, and technological interdependence in an increasingly contested multilateral trade regime.

🌿 Tensions in green and energy transition, where transatlantic climate ambitions meet the realities of subsidies, supply chains, and energy security.

We are looking forward to what comes next. Next stop: American University, Washington DC, October 15-17! 🇪🇺🇺🇸🇨🇦
