"The most rewarding aspect of my work is building something meaningful from the ground up.

I enjoy developing a long-term vision for the Mevlin and Dollie Younts Trading Room, mentoring students for careers in financial markets and helping create real pathways to Wall Street."

- Michael Howley, Director of the Melvin and Dollie Younts Trading Room

Reid Turner and Danika Pfleghardt didnโ€™t plan to start a company when they walked into accounting class. They just happened to sit next to each other. ๐Ÿ’ก

Today, Turner and Pfleghardt are co-founders of Drive AI, a student-built startup that helps small and mid-sized businesses use artificial intelligence to streamline operations.

And while the technology they work with is cutting-edge, the foundation of their company is something much simpler: relentless curiosity, long hours and a willingness to ask for help.

This Memorial Day, we reflect with gratitude on the freedoms we enjoy because of the brave individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Today, we are honored to highlight finance alum Andrew Zabierek '00 whose name is embedded in stone in Clemson's Scroll of Honor. It rests permanently among the names of the other 497 known Clemson University alumni who made the ultimate sacrifice.

What's a recent achievement that you're particularly proud of? ๐ŸŒŸ

"I'm most proud of what our industry and brand partners are saying about our students: prepared, resilient, dependable, creative, team players.

One employer recently shared that they typically seek candidates with one to three years of experience and rarely hire straight out of college. After interviewing one of our Cadency students, she noted that this student was more prepared for the role than candidates with more experience."

This spring, students from Clemson University traveled to White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico to take part in the Bataan Memorial Death March.

The annual event pays homage to the U.S. and Filipino soldiers who were prisoners of war on the Bataan Peninsula in World War II and forced to march approximately 65 miles through brutal conditions that took the lives of thousands.

"To finish is a challenge in itself," says unit lead and management student Matthew Vickers. "But to know you are enduring only a fraction of what those forced to march in Bataan in 1942 experienced is truly humbling. It's our honor to go out there and represent Clemson and honor the legacy of those who suffered."

Over $85,000 raised! ๐Ÿ‘

The 16th Annual Tiger Paw Classic golf tournament was another incredible success! A collaboration between the J. Daniel and Nancy Garrison Sales Innovation Program and the Clemson University Honors College, this tournament gave students the opportunity to operate in a real-world sales organization while supporting a greater purpose.

All proceeds benefited Ripple of One, a local nonprofit dedicated to helping families move beyond public assistance toward long-term financial independence.

A huge thank you to everyone who made this event possible, especially our student leaders, faculty, sponsors, golfers and volunteers for their incredible efforts throughout the semester! โ›ณ๏ธ
