On July 1, the Department of Applied Communication Studies at SIUE transitioned leadership from the former chair, Dr. Duff Wrobbel, to the current chair, Dr. Sorin Nastasia. This past Friday, on August 28, during our first departmental meeting, we had an unofficial but very meaningful "passing of the gavel:" as Dr. Min Liu brought a nice cake for all in attendance to enjoy, Dr. Nastasia was handed the gavel (or was it the cake cutting knife?) by Dr. Wrobbel! Upon this seamless transition, everyone can envision an even brighter future for our department!
