Join our associate director of education, Dr. Jenny Baenziger, for the next Academy of Teaching Scholars presentation entitled "Best Practices in Global Health Education" on Wednesday, October 28, at noon ET.

Global health education requires intentional curricular design. This workshop introduces participants to evidence-based approaches for preparing learners to work effectively and ethically in global health contexts. Special attention is given to avoiding extractive educational models and centering the priorities of partner communities.

Last night we were honored to host author and former Boston Globe reporter John Donnelly as he discussed his new book, Lifeline: The Story of PEPFAR, the Greatest Humanitarian Initiative of Our Time". Opening remarks by Ambassador Randall Tobias reflected on his leadership during the formation of PEPFAR. A fireside chat with Donnelly and Professor Sylvester Kimaiyo, Ampath Kenya executive director of care highlighted the lifesaving support of PEPFAR and how the AMPATH partnership created one of the most successful HIV programs in Africa.
