Hands-on experience is at the center of the Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences (SLHS) program.

The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at Butler University prepares students to help those who experience communication differences and disorders. We prepare students to help those who experience communication differences and disorders. Our emphasis is on a variety of clinical experiences, collaborative research opportunities with faculty mentors, and solid preparation for students applying to graduate schools across the country. Our high graduate school acceptance rate for SLHS students says it all: focused and prepared with real-life experience and a commitment to service learning.
