After hosting our exclusive red-carpet screening experience at the Lyric Theatre this spring, we are now thrilled to continue the conversation by holding a virtual experience for a wider, national audience.

This November, we're proud to host an exclusive screening experience of the Quell Foundation's "Human First: Beyond the Athlete".
This documentary follows eleven former and current athletes as they share their mental health journeys, discuss how pressures transform into personal struggles, and explain the challenges that take shape when life and sport become deeply intertwined.

students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community members are invited to attend our theatrical screening of the film.
A panel with sport mental health experts and advocates will follow the viewing.

Sometimes, the right advice at the right time can change a student’s entire path.

We’re still looking for alumni to serve as mentors in our Alumni-Student Mentoring Program this spring.

Through the program, alumni are paired with current students and meet regularly throughout the semester to talk about career goals, challenges, projects, next steps and everything in between.

You don’t have to have all the answers. Sometimes, simply sharing your own experience, offering perspective and reminding a student that someone is in their corner can make a lasting difference.

Applications close Nov. 1, pairs will be announced in December, and the program runs January through April 2027.

Sometimes, one person believing in you can change the course of your life.

For Kennard and Pat, that support helped them build a legacy of service in Central Kentucky.
Now, their son Brad and his wife Rachel are honoring that legacy through the Dr. Kennard W. and Pat B. Wellons Endowed Scholarship at , supporting students who want to serve others and may simply need someone to lend them a hand along the way. 💙
