People. Places. Ideas. Great design connects us across cultures, transforms the places we inhabit, and shapes the way we experience the world. Join our first-year interior design students as they explore and present the creative visions of ten influential designers and discover how their approaches to interior spaces inspire design today.

Students from both sections of IDES 100: Introduction to Interior Design, taught by Sharmin Kader, Ph.D., will present.
Tuesday, September 29, from 12:30–1:45 p.m. and 2:00–3:15 p.m. and on Thursday, October 1, from 12:30–3:15 p.m.
The event will take place in the Student Center, Yuhas Room (102).

All Ball State faculty and students are welcome! Join us for part or all of either day to encourage our first-year students. Hot beverages will be provided.

Presented by the Interior Design Program in collaboration with the Rinker Center for Global Affairs.

Bryan Cantley’s Lecture “Exhaustive Drawings” will be held on Monday, September 14, at 4:00pm in the Architecture Building lecture hall 100 on the first floor.
The lecture and accompanying exhibition present a “long game” project — a slow reading and development of a drawing typology, grounded in Georges Perec’s An Attempt at Exhausting a Place in Paris. Framed as an ongoing project, the work becomes a language-development condition: an exercise in generating an infinite set of architectural languages from a finite condition.

CAP lectures are free and open to the public.

Join us for Bryan Cantley’s lecture entitled “Exhausting Drawings” on Sept. 14th, at 4:00PM, in lecture hall AB100.

After 15 years of supporting CAP students, Lori Pence leaves behind a legacy of compassion, encouragement, and genuine kindness.

As Director of Student Services, Lori has been there for students through challenging times, helped them feel at ease, and celebrated their successes.

Her impact on our students and our college community is immeasurable, and she will be deeply missed. Thank you, Lori, for everything you have given to CAP and, most importantly, to our students. We wish you all the best in your next chapter!

Lori’s last day is August 28th, come by this week and wish Lori a happy retirement.
