Ball State University Sport Administration Program Preparing students for a career in the sport industry through experiential learning

The faculty is committed to providing students with immersive, experiential, and service-learning opportunities throughout their four year undergraduate experience. In the classroom, students will receive hands-on experience through the completion of at least two outcome-based projects for regional sport organizations, and students will organize various events on-campus to raise money for local ch

aritable organizations. Additionally, each fall the sport administration program organizes the Chase Charlie Races to fight childhood obesity in the Muncie community. The Sport Administration Club offers opportunities for students to learn about careers in their chosen field, network with industry professionals, and acquire event management experience working events for the athletic department and other regional sport organizations. Finally, students who are seniors will complete a 12-credit, 400-hour internship. In addition to being housed on the campus of a Division I athletic department, Ball State's central location between Indianapolis and Fort Wayne is ideal for students pursuing a career in sport administration. Many opportunities exist to obtain volunteer, internship, and paid work experience either on campus or within a one-hour drive.
