🌞🌱 WE’RE LIVE AT THE FARMERS MARKET! 🌸🥬

The MTSU Small Farm crew is set up and ready to see y’all at the Murfreesboro Saturday Market on the Square!

The tables are looking GOOD today. We’ve got beautiful fresh cut flowers, peppers, tomatoes, and our fresh microgreens ready to be weighed, bagged, and sealed right here at the stand. 🌱

And seriously… look at those flowers! 😍🌸

The market is buzzing, the weather is beautiful, and we’re here until 12 PM, so come on down, say hello to the crew, check out what we’ve been growing, and take a little bit of the MTSU Small Farm home with you!

🌱🌸 LOTS OF MOVING PARTS AT THE MTSU SMALL FARM! 🌸🌱

It’s been a busy week at the farm, and we’ve got a little bit of everything going on!

🌱 James has been hard at work seeding trays for some of our upcoming research projects.

🌸 We also got our first bloom from one of the new dahlia varieties we’re growing at the Small Farm this year, and if this is any indication of what’s coming, we’re pretty excited! 😍

🥬 And Dallas has been harvesting fresh microgreens today and we have been getting everything ready for tomorrow’s Farmers Market!

Research, production, flowers, and fresh food. That’s what a week at the Small Farm looks like!

Come see us tomorrow from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the MTSU Small Farm stand at the Murfreesboro Saturday Market on the Square. We’ll have fresh picked produce and freshly harvested microgreens and cut flower’s ready to go!

🌱 NEW at the MTSU Small Farm booth!

We’re changing the way we sell our microgreens at the Murfreesboro Saturday Market from 8am-12pm.

Instead of only offering pre-portioned bags, you can now choose your greens, mix & match your favorites, and have them weighed, bagged, and sealed fresh right at the booth.

💙 2 oz — $5
💙 4 oz — $8

Choose one variety or create your own custom mix.

Come see us this Saturday at the Murfreesboro Saturday Market on the Square and try out our new microgreen setup!

🌻 A little sunshine for a stormy day! 🌻

It may be gray and gloomy outside today, but we figured everyone could use a little extra sunshine.

These black oil sunflowers are growing in one of our research plots at the MTSU Small Farm, and we snapped these photos on a much brighter day. ☀️

So while the sun may be hiding today, our sunflowers are still here to brighten things up. 💛🌻

Fresh figs are back at the MTSU Small Farm!

This Saturday will be our first fig harvest of the season, and we’ll have fresh specialty figs available at the Murfreesboro Saturday Farmers Market!

Since the season is just getting started, quantities will be limited this weekend, so come see us early if fresh figs are on your list.

This year, we’re selling our figs by weight:

8 oz — $6
1 lb — $10
Soft/Blemished “Jam Figs” — $6/lb, when available

All of our figs are grown right here at the MTSU Small Farm, and as more fruit begins to ripen, we expect availability to increase throughout the season.
