Using AI is officially commonplace. At Murray State’s Department of Computer Science and Information Systems, our students are learning to go further: ask better questions, evaluate results, solve meaningful problems, and take responsibility for the solutions they create.
An impressive product is only part of the story. Can you explain how it works? Recognize when it fails? Adapt when the requirements change? Understand whom it affects?
Those questions put critical thinking, technical understanding, creativity, and professional judgment at the center of learning.
Our mission is to form the person, not just evaluate the product.
We are preparing students to keep learning, lead responsibly, and contribute long after today’s tools have changed again.
