Earlier this month, Connecticut College hosted its second annual AI and the Liberal Arts Symposium.

Centered on this year's theme, " The Paradox of AI in the Liberal Arts", the symposium brought together faculty, staff, students, and colleagues from across institutions to explore the tensions, opportunities, and responsibilities emerging as AI becomes part of teaching, learning, research, and work.

We are grateful to the presenters, participants, organizers, and community partners for helping shape this important conversation.

A new heart of campus 💙

Today, Conn celebrated the dedication and ribbon-cutting of the Cro-Plex Pedestrian Connector, a welcoming new space between Cro and the Plex with accessible walkways, green space, gathering areas, and an amphitheater.

Made possible through the generous support of Rob ’88 and Karen Hale P’20, the connector is already bringing Camels together to study, gather, and connect.

The Fran Shields Grandstand is officially open! Connecticut College celebrated the dedication of the new Fran Shields Grandstand at Silfen Track & Field, honoring Fran Shields’ decades-long impact as a coach, mentor, and leader in Camel Athletics. Made possible through the generosity of Timothy M. Armstrong ’93, Nancy A. Armstrong, and the Men’s Lacrosse program, this new space will support student-athletes and fans for generations to come.
