The results are in for Dawg Day of Giving, and Dawg Nation continued to break records! Our goal was 12,000 gifts in 24 hours and we ended up with 13,094 gifts totaling $8.5M!

Dawg Day of Giving is a 24-hour fundraising event where we’re Calling All Dawgs to make a gift of any size to any area of UGA. This collective display of Bulldog generosity will propel our great university to ever-greater heights.

Hey HRVA Dawgs!

Lace up your dancing shoes and get ready to fill out your brackets because both and are dancing! It’s the first time since 2011 that both teams have made the NCAA Tournament in the same season!

To celebrate we thought we’d set up an ESPN Tournament Challenge for the Men’s NCAA Tournament and one for the Women’s NCAA Tournament too!

The winner of each Challenge will receive some cool UGA swag provided by your very generous HRVA Dawgs Board Members!

Now for some rules!
- To participate and win the prizes, you need to live in the Hampton Roads area
- Challenge groups are private. Password for both groups is GoDawgs! (! included)
- Only 1 entry per Challenge group

Like the entire Hampton Roads community, the HRVA Dawgs are experiencing a wide range of emotions due to yesterday’s fatal shooting at Old Dominion University. We have board members and attendees who are faculty and staff at ODU so the events of yesterday hit very close to home.

Additionally, we are remembering and paying tribute to a member of both Monarch and Bulldog Nation, Lt. Col. Brandon A. Shah (ODU ‘07, UGA MBA ‘18), who sadly lost his life in the classroom in Constant Hall yesterday. Lt. Col. Shah was a a devoted husband, father, and respected Army officer who logged more than 1,200 flight hours, 600 of them on combat missions flying an AH64 Apache during Operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, & Atlantic Resolve.

Lt. Col. Shah attended the University of Georgia when he was stationed in Savannah where he served as Director of Operations for the 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade. He was Professor and Chair for Old Dominion University’s Military Science Department.

The loss of Lt. Col. Shah is felt far beyond the uniform and the UGA Terry College of Business family. It is felt by his family who loved him most, the ODU military community, friends & neighbors who knew his character, and shared in his commitment to leadership and service.

We join Monarch and Bulldog communities in sharing our deepest sympathies and condolences to his family, loved ones, and friends. Please keep Lt. Col. Shah’s family in your thoughts as we honor a life of service and sacrifice.

The Dawgs got a BIG win on Tuesday against Kentucky and are fighting to stay on the right side of the bubble for the NCAA Tournament! We'll be downstairs inside at Cogans Pizza North. HRVA Dawgs, despite the outcome last night, we had a blast watching the Dawgs with y'all this season! We're so encouraged with the trajectory of the Hampton Roads Alumni Chapter! We also want to thank Cogans Pizza North and the staff that took care of us all season long. They made sure we were at our tip top shape to cheer on the Dawgs!

It's Game Week, y'all! Ring in the New Year with your HRVA Dawgs, and cheer on Georgia to victory against Ole Miss in the College Football Playoff! We'll see you downstairs and inside on Thursday! Kickoff is at 8 PM!
