Wofford College, established in 1854, is a four-year, residential liberal arts college located in Spartanburg, South Carolina. It offers 27 major fields of study to a student body of 1,775 undergraduates. Nationally known for the strength of its academic program, outstanding faculty, experiential learning opportunities and successful graduates, Wofford is recognized consistently as a “best value”

and for its commitment to student success and accessibility for low- and middle-income students. The college community has 12 sororities and fraternities and is home to one of the nation’s earliest Phi Beta Kappa chapters. Wofford is home to 19 NCAA Division I athletics teams – and will add softball in 2024 – made up of student-athletes with some of the highest graduation rates in the country. A member of the Southern Conference, Wofford athletics regularly places the college on the national stage. In addition, the college has hosted summer training camp for the NFL’s Carolina Panthers for 27 years.

Wofford became the place where Lena Strauss '26 discovered her voice as a leader. 📸

An English major with a minor in studio art, Strauss is continuing to build her career in marketing and communications while growing her lifestyle photography business.

"Leadership helped me find community and grow as a person," says Strauss.

Being Boss was just one way Brittany Moore '26 brought Terrier spirit to campus. 🐶

A biology major on the pre-medical track with a concentration in neuroscience, Moore served as Wofford's mascot and president of Alpha Alpha Alpha honor society. She'll spend a gap year with Team Rubicon before applying to medical school.

"Leadership surprises you in unimaginable ways. It gets you out of your comfort zone and gives you opportunities to help people and bring joy," says Moore.

One Wofford tour was all it took for Geneva Kowbeidu '26 to make being Campus Union president her goal. ✅

Four years later, the government major achieved that goal and is headed to the University of South Carolina School of Law this fall.

"I’ve learned the value of networking and how to speak up and advocate for myself and others."

From the classroom to the soccer field, Wofford helped Ona Sinani '26 lead with confidence. ⚽

A business economics major with a minor in finance, Sinani will begin a Master of Financial Planning degree program at New York University this fall.

"Wofford helped me sharpen my soft skills and my people skills. Those will help me in graduate school and as I begin my career," says Sinani.
