Today, on National First Responders Day, we honor the dedicated individuals who answer the call in our communities' most critical moments.
At LLCC, we're proud to help prepare the next generation of first responders through our emergency medical services (EMS), fire science and criminal justice programs. These students are gaining the knowledge, skills and hands-on experience needed to serve and protect our communities as EMTs, paramedics, firefighters, law enforcement officers and other public safety professionals.
Thank you to all first responders for your courage, commitment and service.

Nearly 300 community members joined us for LLCC's Haunted Lab last weekend, and what a night it was!
From the moment our young lab assistants walked through the doors they were entertained with demonstrations by the LLCC Chemistry Club, hands-on spooky science experiments by the LLCC Biology Club, DNA extractions, a jack-o-lantern judging contest and more.
Besides spooky memories, attendees took home a Junior Chemist Workbook of experiments they can safely try at home in their own kitchens.
Thank you to our student volunteers, faculty, staff and community members who made Haunted Lab a spooktacular success! We can't wait to see you again next year!

Everest, a four-year-old Siberian Husky, was officially sworn in as the LLCC Police Department’s outreach and therapy dog, complete with an oath of office and paw print signature. 🐾
His mission? Bringing comfort, reducing stress, supporting student wellbeing and helping build connections on campus.
