Honoring Texas Heritage!

The Texan Corps of Cadets Color Guard had the honor of presenting the colors at the 2026 Family Land Heritage Ceremony in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards!

At the request of Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller and the Texas Department of Agriculture, our cadets proudly represented Tarleton State University while honoring the Texas families who have preserved our state’s agricultural legacy for generations.

We are proud of our cadets for representing the Purple and White with professionalism, pride, and dedication!

1917–2026. A legacy of leadership.

For more than a century, the Texan Corps of Cadets has shaped generations of leaders through discipline, service, and commitment to something greater than themselves. From our founding in 1917 to the next generation of Texans, our mission remains the same: to develop leaders of character who are ready to answer the call.

🔥 LEADING FROM THE FRONT. SETTING THE STANDARD. 🔥

The Tarleton State University Corps of Cadets Wainwright Ri**es kicked off the Yell Competition with a sharp, disciplined armed drill sequence, setting the tone for a tradition built on pride, spirit, and excellence.

Created by the Student Government Association in the 1980s, the Yell Competition brings Texans together to build campus spirit and pride leading up to the Homecoming football game. The Wainwright Ri**es continue to lead from the front, representing the discipline, professionalism, and tradition that define the Texan Corps of Cadets.

We don’t follow the standard. We set it.‼️
