DCH School of Radiologic Technology

DCH School of Radiologic Technology DCH Radiology Program The program is a 24-month, full time program of instruction leading to certification in the Radiology field.

The Radiography program was established in 1955 and continues to enroll and graduate students into the radiography field as entry-level radiographers. The DCH Radiology Program is not a federally funded program; we are a hospital based program. Due to this, we do not have a school code as required for pell grants, etc. However, there are scholarships available once accepted into the program.

Hi my name is Haseem Brown, I was born in Brooklyn but raised here in Northport/Tuscaloosa and graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School.

💪Fun fact about me, I am a fitness coach!

🚑My favorite clinical site(s) is the Emergency Department because of its fast pace and SpineCare because of the atmosphere and the employees that greeted me with a smile each time I stepped through those doors.

♥️I am excited to announce that I accepted a position in cath lab as a cath lab tech, a goal I set well before getting into radiology school.

💍A huge milestone for me is that I got engaged to my beautiful fiancée this year.

As I continue to move forward with my career and my education I hope to be the best healthcare worker I know I can be. I truly believe God put me here to help, heal and care for others!

The past two years has been the most difficult challenge I have ever faced, but with the overwhelming support and my passion for helping others. I was able to make it through Radiology school with a smile.

Hey! My name is Madi Brooke Bowers. I was born and raised in Northport, Alabama and graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School.

🚑My favorite clinical site is the Emergency Department at DCH Regional.

🩻I am excited to say that I have accepted a day-shift position in Diagnostics at DCH Regional.

As I move forward in my career, my goal is to continue to learn and grow in my field while providing compassionate, high-quality care for every patient that I encounter. I hope my actions, integrity, and compassion reflect God’s love to those around me.

🎓Graduate Highlight🎓

🐯 Hi, I’m Megan Wilson. I grew up in Fayette, Alabama, where I graduated from Fayette County High School and also attended Bevill State Community College 🐻

🍗 A fun fact about me is that I am the pickiest eater ever. My least favorite food is CHICKEN. A cool fact about me is that I have a certification in childhood development!

🩻 My favorite clinical site was FMC, where I also worked throughout my 2 years in school, and The Radiology Clinic was another favorite.

🏥 I am so excited to share that I have accepted a night shift position at Fayette Medical Center, where I will be working in both X-ray and CT. I feel so blessed to begin my career serving my hometown and to continue learning alongside an amazing team.

🏡 Outside of radiology, my boyfriend and I purchased land in Berry this past March, where we’ll soon begin building our forever home.

After earning my ARRT certification and beginning my career, I hope to continue growing as both an X-ray and CT technologist and to embrace every opportunity to learn. More than anything, I hope to leave every patient with a smile and make even their hardest days a little brighter. I hope to make a positive impact on every patient I meet and to always remember why I chose this profession in the first place.

🎓 Graduate Highlight 🎓

Hi everyone! My name is Dalajah Bryant, and I’m from Forkland, Alabama.

🇺🇸📚 A little about me: I proudly served 8 years in the Army Reserve and earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology from the illustrious Stillman College.

🩻 Throughout my clinical experience, OPC at RMC quickly became my favorite clinical site, where I was able to grow both personally and professionally.

🏥 I am incredibly excited to share that I have accepted a position as a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist at RMC!

This journey has required perseverance, faith, and determination, and I am so thankful for everyone who has supported me along the way. Hello! My name is Delandra Clay. I was raised in Vernon, Alabama, and I’m a proud graduate of Lamar County High School.

🎶A fun fact about me is that music helps me remember things I struggle to memorize. During school, I’ve actually helped create three radiology songs—and before anyone asks… no, I will not be performing them!

🏥After graduation, I am excited to begin my career as a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist at RMC.
