Dr. Kyei has been selected as one of only 15 scholars globally to join the Early Career Research Board for the Journal of Advanced Nursing for 2026. This prestigious appointment recognizes his significant scholarly contributions and dedication to nursing science, exemplary work that elevates the research mission of the SNRS community.

✨ Faculty Friday ✨ Andrea Sartain, EdD, MSN, RN, CNL, is the Traditional BSN Program Coordinator and teaches in NUR 449, 796, 797 and 798. A former student shared, "I deeply appreciate your exceptional dedication and passion for teaching. Your creative teaching strategies and true enthusiasm for the subject make learning both engaging and rewarding. Thank you for your constant support and for motivating me to aim for excellence."

✨ Faculty Friday ✨ Michelle Cheshire, EdD, MSN, BSN, teaches in NUR 449 and is the RN to BSN program coordinator. A former student shared, "Dr. Cheshire truly cares about her students. She understands the demands faced by working nurses and is deeply invested not only in our success in the program, but also in helping us maintain a healthy work–life balance. She is genuine, authentic, and one of the best faculty members I have ever had."

Dr. Cheshire shared, "I LOVE teaching in the RN to BSN program, we have amazing students and faculty and staff who are passionate about helping this student population achieve their educational and career goals."

Dr. Cheshire currently serves as the president of the Good Samaritan Clinic of West Alabama's board of directors and regularly volunteers at the clinic as a nurse.
