Dr. Susan Welch recently received the National League for Nursing/Southern Nursing Research Society Doctoral Research Award for her study, Psychometric Validity of the Interprofessional Professionalism Assessment Instrument in Nursing Education. Congratulations, Dr. Welch!

From a lifelong calling to a mission that impacts communities across Alabama, Dr. Michelle Cheshire is helping shape the future of nursing through UA Online's RN to BSN program. 🎓

"I think I knew from a very young age that nursing was the path I wanted to follow."

As coordinator of the RN to BSN program, Dr. Cheshire is passionate about making higher education accessible to working nurses, especially those in rural communities.

Through online learning, registered nurses can advance their careers and earn a BSN from the Capstone College of Nursing without leaving their hometowns or careers behind.

Her advice for aspiring nurses?

"If nursing is truly your passion, then I would encourage you to go for it!"
