TJC Earth and Space Science Center Featuring Hudnall Planetarium This ain't your daddy's planetarium. You need to come see it for yourself!

For decades, East Texas schoolchildren were introduced to science and space at Tyler Junior College’s Hudnall Planetarium. When the lights dimmed, all eyes turned skyward and imaginations were sparked as the mysteries of the universe unfolded. The new Center for Earth & Space Science Education at TJC brings this life-changing experience to a new generation of East Texans. State-of-the-art faciliti

es and expanded programming make the new center a premier field trip destination for surrounding schools and an educational attraction for TJC and the community at large. In addition to a hands-on exhibit area, instructional/workshop space and a series of outdoor educational plazas, the Center features a domed theater equipped with Digistar 5, the latest in digital projection technology. TJC is one of only two facilities in Texas to utilize this new system – and one of only 50 worldwide. Similar to IMAX, the Digistar 5 offers giant-screen capabilities which can showcase astronomy and other science-based programming, as well as geography and history programming.
