The Faculty would like to congratulate Prof. Cobus Rossouw and his team on being awarded 1st Place in the Excellence in Learning and Teaching Support Award at the UFS Exceptional Academic Achievers Awards 2026!
The award recognizes the outstanding contributions of Tobias van den Bergh, Mieke Fletcher and Lerato Dhlamini from the Health and Wellness Centre: Student Counselling and Development, together with Prof. Cobus Rossouw from the School of Accountancy.
This achievement recognizes their collaborative work in developing and implementing the Postgraduate Accounting Student Support (PASS) Programme, a mental health support initiative aimed at promoting the academic success and holistic wellbeing of Postgraduate Chartered Accountancy students.
Through mental health awareness initiatives, knowledge and skills development sessions, and access to counselling services, the PASS Programme demonstrates the importance of creating an integrated, supportive and student-centred learning environment.
Congratulations, Prof. Rossouw and the entire team, Your dedication to putting students' wellbeing first and recognizing that their success goes beyond the classroom is truly appreciated.
