UWC Student Leadership Academy We offer engaging opportunities that facilitate the development of leaders who become active citizens WHO ARE WE? WHAT DO WE DO? WHERE ARE WE LOCATED?

We are the Office of Leadership & Social Responsibility (LSR) at the University of the Western Cape (UWC). We are part of the Centre for Student Support Service (CSSS). Our friendly team is dedicated to offering the best possible leadership development opportunities for UWC students. Our focus on active citizenship and community engagement encourages students to apply their leadership skills in re

al world situations. By means of our five programmes - Leadership Programmes, Enactus, Student Organisational Development, Social Responsibility Initiative, and Entrepreneurship Development - we strive to ensure that UWC graduates are armed with the knowledge and skills to be change agents in their communities. The Student Leadership Academy (SLA) is excited to present this year’s Leadership Engagement Dialogues ( LED ) - a dynamic platform for exploring the evolving role of leadership in today’s world. The 2025 Theme is :

“ Leadership in a Time of Digital Influence” ✨

In an age where technology shapes communication, decision-making, and community, this dialogue invites both staff and student voices to unpack how digital spaces are reshaping leadership. In collaboration with our ALP cohort, LED creates a space for open, critical discussion - by the students, for the students.
