We offer engaging opportunities that facilitate the development of leaders who become active citizens WHO ARE WE? WHAT DO WE DO? WHERE ARE WE LOCATED?

We are the Office of Leadership & Social Responsibility (LSR) at the University of the Western Cape (UWC). We are part of the Centre for Student Support Service (CSSS). Our friendly team is dedicated to offering the best possible leadership development opportunities for UWC students. Our focus on active citizenship and community engagement encourages students to apply their leadership skills in real world situations. By means of our five programmes - Leadership Programmes, Enactus, Student Organisational Development, Social Responsibility Initiative, and Entrepreneurship Development - we strive to ensure that UWC graduates are armed with the knowledge and skills to be change agents in their communities. Visit us in the Student Centre on the third floor in the Office of Leadership & Social Responsibility. Stop during the week (Monday through Friday) between 8h30 and 16h30. GET INVOLVED! To get involved with LSR, stop by our office, call us (021 959 2726), send us an email ([email protected]), or visit us online (www.uwc.ac.za/Students/SD/CSSS/Pages/LSR.aspx).

Capstone Day 1 has wrapped up.
Just shared a bit about how the presentation from the ALP students on the Social Impact project went. Got to see how the group managed it for the year all with the aim to create, lead and sustain the change this project makes. Everyone came prepared, brought good energy, and left us all inspired. 🔆 They set a standard.😌

Drop of your bottle caps at select areas with boxes that have our blue poster, or at the SLA Office located at the Student centre, 3rd floor, first door by the staircase. Spread the word and help us reach our goal of 450kg in order to buy a wheelchair for a student after recycling.
