What an exciting day of growth, learning and representation!
TOGI HODs Dr Chantelle Mowers and Masnoenah Kamalie, together with two FSLs Dr Samantha Hoffman and Shantè van Wyk, proudly represented TOGI at the Global Institute for Teacher Education and Society (GITES) Symposium, in collaboration with CPUT and Creating Futures by Growing Greats.
It was a day well spent in the company of prolific academics, emerging researchers, passionate academics and educators from across the Education Sector. The symposium was rich with high-level dialogue, networking, and opportunities to engage with existing research, new ideas, and powerful pilot projects that may add to shaping the future of education.
Topics explored included:
Rethinking Educational Leadership; Collaborative Strategies to Support Novice Teachers in SA; AI-Mediated Reflective Practice; Empowering Educators for a Digital Future; and Rethinking Classroom Management in the AI Era.
Thank you colleagues @~Chantelle August-Mowers, @~Samantha and @~Shante for flying the TOGI flag high, for contributing to critical conversations, and for bringing back insights that will enrich our own practice, our students, and our vision. This is growth in action!
