We are proud to congratulate Megan Kim de Vroeg, a member of the Stellenbosch Business School MBA community, on her appointment as Chief Marketing Officer of Dis-Chem.

Megan joined Dis-Chem in 2022 and has since played an important role in shaping and communicating the organisation’s move towards a more integrated healthcare ecosystem. Her work has helped connect pharmacy, clinic care and specialist referrals into a more coherent customer journey, with her new role placing her at the intersection of brand strategy, healthcare services, customer experience and business growth.

Her appointment reflects the kind of leadership we value at Stellenbosch Business School: grounded in people, responsive to complexity and focused on creating meaningful impact through thoughtful action.

Congratulations, Megan. We are proud to see your leadership journey continue to grow and make a difference.

Big ideas. Global recognition.

Stellenbosch Business School lecturer and researcher Justin Siljeur presented Disruptive Innovation Pathways: A Configurational Approach in Diverse Economic Contexts at the 86th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management in Philadelphia, where it received a Best Paper designation from the Entrepreneurship Division.

The research shows that there is no single route to disruption. Different combinations of leadership, technology, resources, regulation and market networks can unlock innovation across different economic contexts.

A proud moment for research that helps shape how organisations think about innovation in a changing world.

Tomorrow is our RPL Virtual Open Day session - the last one in the series.

Take the opportunity to explore another pathway beyond our programme entry requirements to unlocking your impact at Stellenbosch Business School.

If you have significant management or leadership experience but do not hold the standard entry qualification for postgraduate study, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) could provide an alternative route.

Join Prof Jako Volschenk for a dedicated online Virtual Open Day and gain clarity on how the RPL pathway works, what may be required as part of your application, and whether your professional knowledge and experience could be considered for admission.

RPL is an assessed pathway, not automatic admission, but if your experience is relevant and at the right level, it is a real route worth exploring.

Recognition of Prior Learning Virtual Open Day

26 August 2026
18:00 to 19:30
Online | For RPL candidates only.
